I had the gastric sleeve a week ago and I'm still experiencing left sided pain. It gurgles and the pain will will get bad then it gurgles. It just is painful. Did anyone experience that kind of pain? Thank you!

I feel like crying as I write this. I was so close to getting my surgery date. I have clinical depression and OCD. All I had left to do was my psychological evaluation. I got myself so stressed out over the psych evaluation that I triggered my OCD. My doctor told me I'm going to have to postpone my surgery!! Now what I ask??? All the clearances I've already had done. What happens to those? Was it all a waste of money? I don't want to do this all over again. Can anyone tell me how long those clearances are good for? Am I forever doomed to not pass the psychological exam?

I have yet to be cleared from my psych evaluation. I'm really concerned that I won't pass because of my history of depression and OCD. I realize I'm asking personal information. I spoke to the dietitian and she said I have to go through my primary care physician for the pain. Ive been told by other docs that it is just muscle from my stomach pulling on it. I also have GERD. I forgot to add that

Hi!! My name is Rhonda and I'm 49 years old. I just started the process a couple weeks ago. I'm finding that I can't sleep very well because all I think about is the surgery. I'm really excited and wondering if I'm doing the right thing. I'm miserable now!! My husband always says to me that the surgery is so drastic. Then I get scared. Help!!

I'm in the lab waiting to get my preliminary blood tests drawn. I started talking with a 26 year old girl. We started talking about the gastric sleeve surgery. I told her I would be left with about 20% of my stomach. She said with such force " Don't do that, I'll pray for you". I can't help but say that she made me doubt myself for a short time. Has anyone else gone through this from friends, strangers or family? Help!

I just saw my bariatric surgeon for the first time on November 12th. I'm hoping surgery isn't going to be too far off, like 6 months. What are the next steps? They already told me my insurance will cover 80%. Is that good? Sorry for all the questions. Excited and scared!
