  9. I told my boyfriend, close friends and my bartender. My bartender is very accommodating in mixing me protein shakes instead of drinks. That way I can still have fun at the bar without the booze! And I am the designated driver now!

  16. My sleeve surgery is 1/5/16. Starting weight today is 232. Goal for 3/1/16 is 215 [not sure]. My exercise goal after recorey is 5 hours a week. Yeah! Let's do this!
  17. My best friend always tells me "do what is best for you". It is a hard decision to try and work out a relationship or leave it. I hope you can find support and kindness here that can sustain you when it is lacking elsewhere. Just remember that there is a lot of work to be done besides surgery. This is something you are capable of getting through with or without him! You are alot stronger than you realize! You can do this! You are worthy of your dreams! You are already beautiful! You don't really need a man to be an amazing woman. Now is a good time to set priorities and clear out clutter. He can get on board or get out! Either way....you got this! We are all in it together! Are you on Facebook? wow... I really rambled.....lol!
  18. Where in Illinois? I grew up in Moline! ????
  19. I guess it depends a bit on the doctor. If you are on the full liquid diet as I will be 2 weeks before my surgery, there is not much that I can eat (solid food). I will be able to eat leafy green vegetables (unlimited) as well as steamed veggies. Nothing else except 3-4 Protein shakes a day and Water, sugar free drinks and popsicles, bouillon, and SF gelatins. I am going to make up a HUGE batch of chicken broth and SF Jello before I start. AGAIN - it depends on your doctor though so don't go by my eating plan. I think you would be OK with the popsicles and gelatins though. Oh how I miss veggies! I can't wait to bring them back into my life! ????????????
  20. Did you have your gall bladder out? I had mine out years ago [i am not yet sleeved]. I now have bile acid malreabsorbtion [bAM for short]. They have me on cholestamine [usually prescribed for lowering cholesterol]. It is a powder to add to water or juice. It is rare that this happens after gall bladder removal.

  22. My surgery is Jan 5th too! I am going to Tijuana. I have been having very mixed feelings! Glad I already got my cashiers check so it is decided! Lol! We can do this!
