  1. CW: 220 Goal: 205 I've been looking forward to this!
  2. I was scared shittless before my surgery in Dec. I wanted to back out. I thought I was going to die or have a leak. What you're feeling is normal. I'm 7 weeks post op and feel great. No complications and I started at 260lbs and now I'm 224. Don't worry. Educate yourself and know this is normal.
  3. I had my HH and VSG done there and the whole process took a month and a half. That is from the day I called and made the appt to the day of surgery. Very fast! I'm paying for the VSG and my insurance paid for HH. My cost was 3900. I pay 113.00 a month since I didn't have it up front. Hope this helps.
  4. I have 2 more weeks on a liquid diet. Any suggestions on how to make this easier?
  5. Thanks, I will try that! Thanks, I will try that!
  6. My surgery was 12/29 and I had planned to go back to work tomorrow. There is no way that is going to happen. Everyone is different. I've heard of people going back in 3-4 days, some people go back after a few weeks.
  7. I was sleeved on 12/29. Things are going ok. I am getting 64 oz of water a day and around 50grams of protein. I'm having trouble walking due to a burning/pinching sensation on my incision. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what has helped? I'm supposed to go back to work on Monday and stressed because I can't stand up straight and in pain.
  8. what did they suggest for incisions burning? I have one that is killing me.
  9. I'm doing ok. I still have nausea, bad gas pains, and my incision on the right hurts like hell! I am able to get my water in but not protein. . I hope you feel better soon!
  10. I'm very sore. Had terrible had pains and nausea. I hope it subsides soon. Hope everyone is doing well
  11. I had cdiff and when they did a biopsy I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis. Years later I had another biopsy done and no UC just IBS. Doc says due to the infection the inflammation in my colon caused a false positive for UC. Have you had systems for that prior to this? I'm sorry about all of this. I hope you feel better soon!
  12. Just out of curiosity what part of west Texas? I work in Abilene but live south of there.
  13. I feel the same way. After eating the way I did I remembered this is what led me to where I am now. I don't think you will have a problem with surgery especially if you've been following the diet.
  14. you're lucky your surgeon allowed a cheat meal! Great job on no desserts!
  15. How did everyone do with Christmas? I'll be honest, I did not follow my diet yesterday :/
  16. Surgery day is approaching fast and I go from excited to nervous to blah.... I would love to keep in touch with someone who is having surgery around the same time as I. It's always nice to talk to someone who knows what you're going through.
  17. I am doing the two week prep and have lost 7lbs in the first week.
  18. I am feeling the same way. My surgery is on the 29th and I have thought about backing out more than once. Some days I don't worry and others I fear that I will have a leak or stricture and be in the hospital for months. I am a religious person so I have been praying and I hope everything goes smoothly for the both of us.
  19. Do you mind me asking what the complications are?
