  1. Thank you! That's not a bad idea!!
  2. So helpful... I guess the protein makes up for all the extra food you don't buy lol. The clothes shouldn't be so much. I have tons of them from when I was smaller. I guess I hoarded them lol. Thanks again!
  3. Hello everyone. My surgery is not scheduled until January 18, 2016. I'm a very budget/financially oriented person. I would like to know if anyone has been able to calculate their post op expenses. What's an average weekly expense about. Just curious.
  4. Thank you for asking this questions. I can't find info on African American hair and WLS anywhere. I've been natural for almost two years have worked hard to grow my hair and I want to keep it lol.
  5. I feel like that's what this is all about. Gaining control of yourself and your life. This is why I've made this decision. I'm so glad that you are happy with your results. Continue to be blessed. Congratulations.
  6. Congratulations. Its encouraging to see others doing well. I will follow your story! Thanks!

  8. Thanks for the support Margie!!
  9. I am very excited about this new journey. I have dealt with obesity since a little girl. My weight has fluctuated throughout the years. I have been struggling with PCOS and I have been prediabetic since I got out of high school. I just turned 24 in October. This is the heaviest I have been in my entire life and I'm just sick of it. A few months ago, my primary care physician asked if I considered WLS. I said "absolutely not". I thought about the question and kept it to myself for a while. Few days later, my father asked the same thing... I said maybe it's a sign. Maybe I should look into this. That was 4 months ago. Yesterday, I scheduled my VSG surgery ???? I am beyond excited and glad I had a change of heart. I wish everyone the best of luck on their own journey and I will share my story with you all. ????
