  1. Hi Pea523, I went to Costco yesterday and they were 24.99 Still a good price. Did you try them yet? Hope you liked them ???? Unfortunately, the sale ended on around the 25th of January. Costco limited you to a discount on two boxes. I have been drinking them for a while. I like the chocolate ones the best. Couldn't stomach the strawberry after surgery.
  2. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost one of my doctors unexpectedly, and when my primary care dr told me he had passed, I started to cry. It is painful.
  3. I'm not getting that much in a day. I am preparing for the worst.
  4. Hi @@rking! I've lost 24 lbs in 2 months too. You slow down when you get to a certain point. You can rev it up, but if you eat around 800 calories a day, then you will have to burn 2800 lbs a day in order to burn 4 lbs a week. Every lb you lose equals 3500 calories so......... I need to get into that burning mode! What's up with your hair falling out? How much is falling out? Is it in clumps, or just a bit when you comb and brush? Are you taking vitamins? I thought that does not start until the third month! I am freaking about that because my hair is already so thin.
  5. Thanks for your replies! I usually have a shake for breakfast Protein like grilled nuggets from chic fil a, tuna pack, Dinner chicken again with maybe a bit of a veggie. I need to get in more water because I am not drinking enough - that's for sure.
  6. Hi, I am 8 weeks out. Today, I sat down and measured my food and ate 1/2 cup of eggplant. I was full after. I realized that I was eating too much before. I was eating nearly a cup of food, and it was not necessary. I think I was not giving myself the 20 minutes to finish my meal, which is partially due to my time restraints at work during the day. How much food are you eating? Also, what are you eating for Breakfast lunch and dinner?
  7. @@Daisee68 and @@cindyw41 thanks for your replies. I'm going to check with me dr. I am on the er, and I believe it is contributing to my heartburn that I am only getting on the upper right side of my chest. I think it is lingering and causing me pain.
  8. @@cindyw41 are sleeve patients advised against using a time-released medication? I am currently taking Metformin ER, which was prescribed by my internist: However, my surgeon knows I am taking Metformin. Maybe I should have specifically said it was ER?
  9. My heartburn is starting to get bad and I am eight weeks out. I am getting a burning sensation on the left side of my chest, and I am taking 40 mg of Nexium twice a day. I am really worried now!
  10. You go girl! You look great! How has your weight loss progress been monthly? How many pounds are you losing each month?
  11. I want to add that the Premier Protein Shakes are on sale at Costco this month. I believe they are $5 off.
  12. @@danigirl3 - how was your procedure? Are you feeling better? Did they have to do a Roux-n-y?
  13. Hi @@cindyw41 I am taking Metformin 500mg ER two times a day. I was told I could take my Metformin at 4 weeks out.
  14. Apparently, from what I read on another thread, maintenance is around 1000-1200 calories a day.
  15. When you talk about eating carbs, what do you mean? Like how many a day? I fear carbs only because I am a type 2 diabetic, and carbs have not been my friend for over 16 years. I will eat some carbs though, but I count them out. I am only on Metformin now 1000mg. I used to be in two types of insulin as well, but I am off of them. My blood sugar is not where I want it, but it's getting there! Do you use My Fitness Pal? It is great because you can log in all of your meals and it lets you know how many carbs, fats, etc. you have had for the day. Sometimes I am in shock when I read how many carbs I have had, and that's when I realize I need to slow down. How is your exercise coming? I am doing alright with it. I just need to make sure I stay consistent. Has all the snow gone away in your area?
  16. Hey @@rking I was thinking about you. How much snow did you get? I walked for an hour today, and have decided to tighten up on my carb intake, increase my Protein, and drink a ton of water! Do you have a treadmill at home or some aerobic tapes?
  17. Well I've lost a total of 18 lbs since the 17th. Was 218. Hit a stall about a week and a half ago. I use My Fitness Pal, and I have a Fitbit and an Aria Scale. According to my stats I should be losing around two lbs a week. I meant to say in my past post that I am walking about 3 days a week for 30-40 minutes. I think I need to raise my caloric intake. I've been drinking water now though, and I am urniating normally. What about you? Did you stall at all? If you did how long did it last before you started losing again?
  18. HI @@rking! Sorrry you are about to hit a blizzard. nice to see you are eating solid foods. On what date was your surgery again? Mine was on Nov 17th, and I have been eating solid foods for about 10 days now. My weight loss is also slowing down. I probably need more calories because I have been walking for about 40-50 minutes a week also. Anyway I love to eat the Starkist Thai tuna that comes in a pouch. It is really good. Keep warm.
  19. Some studies say that it takes up to a year for the diabetes to resolve.
  20. That's great!! I have been type II for 16 years, and I am afraid mine is here to stay, but with living a low carb life style I need very little medication.
  21. How are you feeling now? We had our surgery on the same day. I am doing great! Never there up once, although I got nauseous on time after brushing my teeth. Other than that nada.
  22. Ann, at what weight did you start? I started at 217.5 on Nov 17th, and now I am down to 202.4. I lose and will even go up two lbs. I am also a type II diabetic for 16 years. I am back to taking Metformin, and I think it is aiding in my weight loss. I am also starting to get in all of my Protein, which I was having difficulty doing before. I also cheat. Have had a Ghirardelli square and piece of bread here and there in the last week. I do not cheat often and I maintain control for the most part. I usually do not desire chocolate or bread unless my blood sugar levels are low.
  23. Hi! I had mine on the 17th HW - 225 SW - 218 CW - 205 I am so happy I got it done as well. I can't wait until I am under 200. It's been since 2008! I am going to start exercising next week too!
