  1. @@pezzypooh how did you know?? I'm so scared about clots after surgery it's making me nuts!! My BFF died a week after having her baby by c section because of a clot.

  3. It's like I wrote this!! I'm scared to death( no pun intended). I go back and forth 1000 times a day. What if I get a blood clot, what if I die on the table.. Etc. I'm just starting also, I have about 5 more months of waiting to go which, like you said.. Is probably the worst part
  4. So I come to find out that there is no Nutritionist within my bariatric group.. I'm confused as to why.. But now I'm also having trouble finding one. I thought it was standard for them to have one?! Anyone on Long Island that and help me out.. Maybe you know someone. Thanks

  6. I'm not as worried for my neck, as I am my whole face...my friend tells me all day.. I don't understand how you have no wrinkles at all.. I attribute it to my water intake, plus my fat in the face????... But I'm afraid after the surgery in going to look older, I'm 35 but people ask me if I'm in my twenties.. ????
  7. My friend at work was sleeved in June.. She's not much of a water drinker to begin with, but she does crunch ice all day.. Like alllll day... So I guess that's a good way of getting it in
  8. Just made a few appointments for endoscopy first one available was Febuary.. Monday, my sono of liver and gall bladder, January for cardio..
  9. Made my appointment.. First available was for February... Sheesh.

  16. Is it silly for me to be scared about being able to drink my water like I am Use to?? I drink tons of water.. I can drink a 16oz in one shot and sometimes I don't even realize that I am doing it. I am afraid I'm going to miss my water.
  17. With United health care community plan, also my dr didn't mention it, do I need to stay at my weight, or can I hover around it? I'm confused
  18. The Drs didn't tell me either way.. So I'm going to try to just hover where I am
  19. Yea I'm excited to.. Also I'm going to my primary tomorrow to see if I have any qualifying weigh ins that we can use. My coordinator said as long as they are consecutive they will count towards my 6 months
  20. The person I spoke with said that if I have a few months of weigh in already it counts towards the 6 months. I'm going tomorrow and I believe I have an October and September weigh in.
  21. Hi! I'm just starting out and I will be having my surgery at Winthrop hospital. Just wondering if anyone has used this group. My dr is Dr A. Barken. I'm going to my primary dr to get a weigh in tomorrow and see if we can back track a few months. I'm in southern Nassau county if anyone is looking for a buddy Lisa
  22. Congrats!! I'm just starting the process and have to make all my appointments for cardio etc... ScAred has hell for major surgery. ????
  23. I'm closer to the city, i'm in Queens I'm on Long Island, too! Near Stony Brook. But my surgery is in NYC on 11/9.I'm on Long Island.. Starting the process with my first appointment 11/13
