  1. This is going to sound ridiculous, but on those days where I have a mini-whoosh of weight loss, I'm mad the scale goes down and skips a number. All of those numbers have been important to me and I want to say goodbye to them forever. Ok, I'm over myself now. Sigh....
  2. Google the recipe for "Shelly's Ricotta Bake". YUMMO! She has an amazing blog with tons of recipes and tips. Very nice lady.
  3. We all have our different blessings to bear, don't we. I personally thing BMI charts are a bunch of hooey! If you're at a weight that is healthy for you and you feel great, more power to you!
  4. I was so excited to read your post. Congratulations, you are a wonderful role model here.
  5. Every doctor you come across will have a different pre-op diet. You'll need to follow what is recommended by your doctor and nutritionist. Mine was three shakes a day, plus one meal with Protein and veggies. Depending on BMI, some patients only need three days of liquids. Lots of factors.
  6. I'm so sorry about your dog. Losing a pet sometimes can feel worse than humans because they love you so unconditionally. Do you have a counselor you can talk to? If not, please come post here when you need to and someone will help you through it. Best of luck to you!
  7. You can always add in a squirt of sugar-free Torani syrup to change the flavor. I use Almond, Coconut, and Black Cherry the most but I went overboard and bought eight different ones.
  8. Sorry, but your doctor is a little off his rocker. 10 pounds is awesome!! And progress is progress. You are by no means a failure. I hope you'll be able to reach your Fluid and Protein goals soon.
  9. Wow, very impressive! And another cruise fan too.
  10. You could add some sugar-free Torani syrup to change up the flavor. I have eight different ones and I'm never bored with my shakes.
  11. Good for you! I'm glad to hear you're going to track again. I've found it very helpful. Only 67 days until Spring!
  12. I doctor up Premier Protein with different flavoring sometimes. The protein I really like the most is Atkins. They only have 15g per serving, but 15 is better than nothing if you're way low. You could the powder with Fairlife milk to boost protein even more. I buy the ready to drink kind and they are the most like chocolate milk to me.
  13. You definitely need to increase fluids. I believe most plans shoot for 64 oz a day. I hope you feel better soon!
  14. Sounding dehydrated. How much Water and Protein are you getting?
  15. That would really tick me off too. I'm sure it is meant to be some kind of compliment from someone who just can't say how great you look and that's what they come up with.
  16. I'm going to buy a cheapo hip scarf off eBay I think. Glad you ladies like it too!
  17. Belly dancing is definitely the exercise for me!! It's more of a total body workout than you'd think. The fact that it's fun makes it that much easier to do. I have some great DVDs that I use but maybe one day I'll actually go to a class. Who else is enjoying dance?
  18. Awesome!! Hope you're back on your feet and feeling fine very soon.
  19. You are soooo close! Best of luck with your surgery!!
  20. Wow! That's a pound a day. Amazing job.
  21. Coming up on the 9th for me.
  22. It's going to be a challenge to meet Fluid requirements if I don't feel the Water supply is safe. I guess I'll have to buy lots of bottled water at the airport when I land.
  23. I'm having VSG next Saturday in Tijuana. Can I drink the water? Or should I plan on buying bottled water somewhere? Someone told me I shouldn't even drink the water or ice chips at the hospital. That can't be......
