  1. Absolutely stunning!! Thank you for sharing them.
  2. Great attitude!! And you look terrific.
  3. You look fabulous!! Very much an inspiration to others.
  4. It's purpose is to make sure you fully inflate your lungs. This helps to prevent pneumonia.
  5. I'm just thinking of all the wasted Protein in the days when I'd eat a slab of ribs....or a cheeseburger.....or lots of Cookies with milk!
  6. Thank you so much for that. I had no idea.
  7. I'm glad you were smart enough to do that. A pulmonary embolism is the biggest concern. Keeping fingers crossed that it's only something minor.
  8. Is there any reason why I can't mix a packet of Protein powder with a ready-to-drink Protein shake to get a double hit of protein? Thanks.
  9. Shortness of breath after surgery needs to be addressed right away either with your surgeon or your primary care doctor. It's a must!! liquid stools postop when you're following a liquid diet are ok unless you're getting dehydrated. CALL YOUR DOCTOR please.
  10. I've had surgery in the past and never told a soul but my husband. Everyone still thinks my tubal reversal baby is a miracle baby...and she is!! I don't plan on telling anyone this time around either. If they ask I'll say I was bitten by a vampire, and if they persist I'll tell them I have a new pet tapeworm and walk away. This is my private business. No explanations needed or given.
  11. I'm scheduling for January and live about 30 minutes from Milwaukee. Not too far for me.
  12. My insurance covers vsg but my out of pocket is more to stay in the States than it is to pay cash for Mexico. I just borrowed the money I needed for the procedure plus airfare and got my direct deposit this morning. Who Hoo! This is finally within reach. I'm going to schedule for January.
  13. Um......I'll likely be driving myself unless I can arrange for my daughter to help out. Everyone thinks I'm going on vacation and I'm not telling anyone what's really going on. I'm not going to drive if I've taken anything for pain or am even slightly off, but that's my plan at this point.
  14. Thanks. Now I just need to figure out how to get it in my car and out again once I'm home. And then up the stairs. Sheesh. I may be leaving it in the car for a couple of weeks.
  15. Hello all. I'm excited to be here. Due to vacation restrictions at work I'm unable to schedule my sleeve until April 2016. That's ok because I have lots of time to read these forums, learn, and lose! I've done a three week fast before so I can't imagine doing the liquids will phase me at all. I'm planning for Dr. Altamirano, flying first class to San Diego. If there is a 10 pound weight limit after surgery, how do you manage your bag at the airport? I would like to at least bring my tablet, if not my laptop, but will still need to check a bag. If I pick it up off the carousel am I going to do some damage? Thanks much.
