  1. My doctor has done over 800 and he has only had two he couldn't complete I think.
  2. I would consult another doctor to see if it could be repaired without bypass. That's a long time!
  3. I'm so sorry! Yes, they gave me liquid hydrocodone and phenergan tablets that knocked out the nausea.
  4. I am 4 days post op and I could go back now if I was taking it easy at work. Listen to your body and use caution. Good luck.

  6. It's over the counter. I think I will try the prilosec instead. I will also try to stop sipping earlier as well. Thx!
  7. When were you told you could start purees? Just curious if everyone is made to wait 2 weeks.
  8. I'm four days post op. Every night I'm having wet foamy stuff coming up constantly. I've tried ranitidine and raising my head up on 2 pillows. Any other advice? It's driving me crazy and I don't want to sleep in recliner forever.

  11. 4 days post op and feeling pretty good. Only problem is reflux at night. Down 10 lbs so far.
  12. Made it through surgery on Wednesday 12/16. It was a little more uncomfortable than I had imagined. Battled nausea for 48 hours before it disappeared. I'm drinking well and feeling human again today thank goodness. Just very weak right now. Down 8 lbs in 3 days so that's a good start I suppose.
  13. Hey guys. Things went well in surgery.. I'm back in the room trying to sip. Man that's hard. My stomach hurts but pain meds are helpful. I had a good bit of nausea this morning but I think it's gone for the most part. Couldn't do green jello at all!!! Thanks for your support!
  14. Waiting in pre-op. It's sleeve day! Now where is that medicine to take the edge off?
  15. I'm struggling too and really haven't been on the strictest of diets. My doc just said low fat and never gave me a time period. My surgery is a week from today!!!!

  17. My surgery is the 16th so we can stay in touch if you want! I'm nervous too but when I need reassurance I just take a selfie and I'm ready.
  18. As a mom of five myself, this is heart breaking to imagine. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. I pray that his medical team will make the very best decisions! Please take care of yourself in this process as well. May God's peace be with you all.
  19. One more thought, are you eating/drinking artificial sweeteners? I'm always starving but when I took a break from caffeine and artificial sweeteners, I almost had no hunger.

  21. Had EGD this morning. It was a breeze and a fantastic nap! No sore throat.
  22. Had my EGD done this morning. I was so nervous last night, I didn't sleep very well. The whole process took about an hour and a half total (from check-in to check-out) and was a breeze! Literally best nap of my life! Dr. said everything looked great so it's a go on 12/16!
