  1. I'm thinking about making a decaf K-cup of coffee. With creamer. I'm four days postop and on the full liquid diet. Will it take me three hours to finish the cup of coffee? Haha
  2. I was nauseated for at least 24 hours. It did subside after that. First few days is hard!
  3. I am three days post op, and I struggle to get in an 11 ounce protein drink. I have been drinking the Adkins 15 g of protein, and I know that 15 g per day is not nearly enough. Any suggestions as to what I can drink that has higher protein than that?
  4. I'm not taking pain meds due to high cost....but I have heard that sometimes pain meds delay your feeling better. So maybe that's why I'm feeling pretty good today.
  5. Congratulations! I was sleeved two days ago and struggle to get 16 oz of fluid in a day, but I hear it gets easier. I can't even imagine the soft foods yet, lol. Let us know how it goes!
  6. I was sleeved two days ago, and was surprised that the first 24 hours were harder than I anticipated, I'm feeling pretty good today and so excited for what's to come! I am excited for you too, the time is going to fly by and before you know it you will be on this side of the journey...on a path to health and wellness! Congrats!!
  7. Whoops, I forgot to add my comment! Now that it's been over 40 hours, things have really improved. I can move around a lot better and the nausea is gone although it feels like I was punched in the stomach with a baseball bat! I didn't get any prescription pain meds because they were too costly but the chewable Tylenol seems to be helping a little. I was able to drink and 11 ounce protein drink over the last six hours so that is progress too! I hope you all feel better soon and we all knew this wouldn't be easy but the rewards will be so amazing!
  8. You aren't being a downer! Everyone goes through different things at different times. I have been home since last night, but today I feel horrible. The pain is really bad (gas pain) and I have neusea. I am taking so many pills- they hurt so bad when I take them. Sleeping in my bed was MISERABLE, the hospital beds were much nicer where I could sleep sitting up. I am hoping I can get some better rest today while the kids are all in school. I hope you are feeling better today!
  9. Ugh, am I the only one that's miserable? Hate to be a downer but I wasn't expecting all this nausea and pain. I'm home now, but only got in 2oz of protein today. Hoping it improves soon!
  10. I'm leaving the house at noon---ready to get this thing done! Good luck everyone!
  11. I'm in Wisconsin...surgery is 3:30 pm tomorrow, October 19. I'm on clear liquids right now, and my stomach is growling! Lol. The biggest fear for me is post surgery nausea and dry heaves, etc. I'm hoping that doesn't happen! Good luck everyone!!
  12. Mine is on Monday (19th) and I am nervous. I'm on clear liquids and currently my stomach is growling. It's gonna be a long couple of days!
  13. Hi---good luck! When is your surgery?
  14. No nail polish? Why would that be?! I'm going in for the sleeve on the 19th too!????
