  1. Good to hear you got approved congratulations. I've crazy craving food I don't know what is happening, maybe I'm so stressed out. I'm right now waiting for my surgeon in the hospital. I hope I can get good news.
  2. Don't lose faith. Do everything your surgeon asked you for and they will fight and appeal for your case. They do this for living!
  3. Thanks a lot. Although I know what my insurance says but in the waiting game for approval I'm asking a lot lately lol
  4. Actually my insurance doesn't state weight gain part at all. I was just worried because I read many cases that have been denied.
  5. Thanks a lot. I have today an appointment with my surgeon I will discuss with him my updates. Hopefully it's positive.
  6. Seems that our cases are similar. My surgery date (if I got accepted) is December 28th. What about you?
  7. Hi I'm in the middle of the process to get sleeved and my bmi was 3 months ago 38. After 3 visits (out of 6) to the nutritionist I've gained around 13 pounds to reach bmi 40. I have tomorrow an appointment with my surgeon and they said they are going to send my file to my insurance to try if I can get accepted. I'm pre diabetic and have mild sleep apnea. Do you think that my case is hard to get approved. And do you think that after gaining that weight I ruined my chances to get the surgery done? P.s. My surgeon didn't ask me to lose or gain weight. My insurance is anthem blue cross ca ppo.
  8. Thanks guys it seems that the insurance has changed something or the dr assistant got confused because I was told before that I don't need 6 months of diet.
  9. Oh congratulations. When did u get approved? First they told me I need 3 nutritional visits and 2 days ago my dr's assistant told me that my insurance may ask for 6 months. I'm confused.
  10. Any body has Anthem blue cross ppo CA and got approved recently? Could anybody avoid the 6 months diet with a NUT as a requirement for VSG?
  11. Happy to hear good news yaaay I hope I get my approval too. Congrats
  12. Thanks a lot. I think my insurance is anthem blue cross
  13. Great news congratulations. Enjoy don't feel frustrated! Think of being there for them as healthy person and don't panic.
  14. Thanks trin I'm waiting for my sleep apnea study to submit my case to my insurance
  15. Does bcbs California approve bmi 39 with no morbid health issues except pre diabetes?
  16. Trin is it really like that now? Even if bmi is 39 and no co- morbidity? I didn't read this in their website.
  17. I'm so sorry. Really it's getting complicated!! I'll pray for u. Keep us posted.
  18. Hi guys. I'm in the process of the VSG waiting for the sleep apnea test to send my file to BCBS California to hopefully approve my surgery. I'm so worried because I don't know if I'll get the approval because my bmi is 39 and I'm healthy except I'm pre-diabetic. Any one can tell me if any case like mine got approved. It's torturous to wait without knowing if I'm gonna get approved or not after months of waiting and tons of dr appointments!! Thanks
