When I eat it feels like my food goes straight down then settles on the lower left side and it burns. Has anyone had this happen? I dont know if it's normal or not. I've never had it happen before.

WOW.....I feel like such a wimp.....Im on day 2 and Im whining and I havent really started lol. ya'll inspire me. Mildred hang in there....we will do this together.

I HAD ACTUALLY GIVEN UP HOPE. I STILL CANT BELIEVE IT.

I dont even know how to file an appeal...other than to tell them how my everyday life is complicated and painful from the problems I have from being over weight.

Im to the point of giving up......its so depressing. I am in so much pain right now from my back that I cant sleep. I dont know what the problem is with my ins. company....Ive been denied once and my surgeons office has sent in for a review and Ive not heard anything yet. But, I'm not getting my hopes up like I did the first time. Looks like if a person has comorbidities of hyperlipademea, high blood pressure, degenerative disc disease and a BMI over 40, and a family history of congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, diabeties, and cancer that that would be enough.......but evidently not. I'm 5'1" weigh 230 and my knees are swollen and feel hot all the time. they make a clicking and grinding sound and I know thats not what they are supposed to do. My daily activities has almost come to a complete stop due to the pain.....And I'm still sittin here WAITING. I just wish they would approve it so I can have my life back. I have a little Granddaughter due in March and if I dont get approved I wont get to run and play with her when shes old enough. I'm crossing my fingers it goes thru this time.......

I received a denial letter....Ive read everything I could and even confirmed with cigna that they cover the surgery..Ive talked to them numerous times asking questions about the coverage and other things...But, still NOTHING.

I've been to the emergency room this weekend found out I have a bulging disc in lower back and I have degenerative disc disease....and I'm in severe pain I'm on steroids tramadol and flexeril....last week I was denied my gastric bypass because there was no medical nessessity...I watched my father die of congestive heart failure my mom has high blood pressure and diabetes. My sister has the same thing. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol on top of the degenerative disc disease and bulging disc. Is that not enough to approve it?

I was told that my surgeon wont do a peer to peer.... thqat if I wanted to I could appeal it...Im stressed

Ive been denied toooo......its so aggravating. I went to a diet clinic for 3 months and they wont accept it because it was a nurse practioner that I saw.

Sajijoma....I can't understand why they want all theses tests run make us pay all that money just to turn us down. I called Cigna tonight to see if my MD sent the letter in and found out it wasn't a letter they said was missing it was the 3 month physician assisted diet. And I know for a fact that was in the stack of papers the surgeons assistant sent in. I SAW IT......I feel like they know we need it and try to do anything to discourage us. It is just unreal.

I,m sooo , sooo, I just don't know....NUMB, SHOCKED, DEPRESSED, BROKEN HEARTED..... :::::: I was denied today.....Now I have to wait and see whats to happen next. All this time I was told everything was in. my MD sent everything in but, I find out today the letter of recommendation wasnt sent in. A personal recommendation. Really? I thought that was what the Dr's letter was for and I know she sent one. I'm sooo tired of being in pain. I just want to be able to get out and walk and enjoy the Fall colors and to BE HEALTHY AGAIN......

I too have called but to no avail.... Im about to go Crazy with worry. Im afraid to call because they might say I'm sorry you have been denied...But, then again I want it so bad that I cant leave them alone...lol

Mine was submitted on Oct.5th and I still havent heard anything. I received a letter from cigna asking for the surgery date, admit date, pertinent medical history, Co-morbidities, additional CPT codes and descriptions. current treatment plan and lab and test results......I found out when I went for my last consult that I had a Hiatial Hernia.....Im so scared that since it's took this long to get an approval that I'm going to be "DENIED"....Ive never been this worried before. I just know Im going to be denied.
