  1. I just bought Celebrate orange flavor with iron tastes good but everytine I took it as soon as it hit mt stomach I woukd vomit... waste of my money:(
  2. Does anyone know if some leaks heal on their own? Also is shoulder pain severe and constant?
  3. I have been having slow recovery and issues with food/water. But my biggest problem is if I walk too much I am in pain! My incision sites start hurtin and burning and then in pain rest of the day. How much are you walking tee murray? (If you don't mind me asking) Thanks:D

  5. I am 11 days out now since surgery. I am tolerating fluids and puree ok. But still sore and tired (moving slow soreness/pain with movement around incisions). I see others back to work after a week. There is NO WAY I could work right now. Have others experienced this also? When did you start to feel normal? Thanks
  6. Are you supposed to be drinking protein drinks? I just purchased syntrax nectar (fuzzy navel) suggested by others. You might want to look at those. You definately need to get your protein in. 3 weeks in the hospital must have been awful! So sorry you were not well. Hopefully you are now on your way to a fast recovery:D
  7. Thanks! Iso pure is to me is like thin gelatin and leaves little pieces of goo in my mouth. I will definately try syntrax:)
  8. Are the syntrax nectars a weird texture like the isopure clear fruit drinks in bottles? Thanks
  9. My hardest is pain and protein drinks - don't like em can't get them down well. Also wish I could just sleep on my side without pain. Nothing is normal right now! Really takes an effort to stay positive!

  11. Mine say soup allowed pureed stage. And I asked my NUT about other soups and was told eat out protein solids drink broth 30 min later.
  12. I can't stand the SMELL of any protein!!! I am trying to force them down but it takes 3-4 hrs for one drink! Glad I am not alone. Thanks to others for sharing it is all helpful!
  13. Starting to Shrink, I kinda feel the same way I have had complications and recovery has been painful, scary and difficult! I have asked myself why did I do this and I wish I would have known how difficult it would truly be. I do feel as I get better that I am starting to remember why I did this and try to refocus on getting to my goal. I hope things are better for us both and in a few months we look back and are greatful we did it! Good luck:D
  14. I had post op appt. and was told same thing. I wad just concerned because alot of people were back to work at 1 week. And didn't complain of discomfort. Thanks for sharing. Did you have the same problem?
  15. I just had surgery 8 days ago. I am still having pain and discomfort could work if I had to but it would be rough! But I think my recovery has been slower then others.
  16. Still have significant bloating/swelling and muscles feel "tight" when standing or walking others experience this also? Thanks
  17. I am a only a week out and I thought I would be fine with protein and water....Wrong!! I am already having problems with protein drinks (yuck)! And yes sipping water all day it is hard to get suggested amount. Glad I am not alone! Will keep trying as I want to get back to "normal" daily life.
  18. Anybody else have severe/debilitating constipation post surgery? I am one week post op my abdomen is so swollen and painful can barely walk. I am taking the 3 hr drive back to surgeon's office tomorrow. But would really appreciate if someone else had this and it cleared up would share with me. Thanks!!

  20. I am 4 days post op and am still in considerable pain and my legs are pretty swollen. Any one else experience this? I also have a lot of right side n pain and no incision in that area? I did get checked out for my leg swelling.
  21. Thanks for the update! My surgeon didn't give me liquid meds?? Not sure how that is going to go... I am happy to rept I was prescribed patch and a pill for day of surgery. How are doing post op wildcat74? I hope you are having a good recovery!
  22. I am from Yakima but i am also having surgery at PSB with Dr. Billings. Dr.Kaufman did my preop and he seemed like a very caring and thorough surgeon! Good look to you! I am having surgery in 6 days aaahhhhh!
  23. I have been doing insurance auth. for 8 months it has been a long process! I am now scheduled for surgery 9/30/15 I am so nervous and keep second guessing my self. Feeling kind of down on myself that I am in this position. Then I realize I can't do it on my own so I am going to go for it!! Appreciate everyone sharing their experiences on here!
