  5. @ I love in St. Pete. I am 3 miles from Madira beach where I work. New job took me to 7 minutes from Clearwater beach. I will do what ever it takes.
  6. I can cross my legs like a girl!!!!
  7. I decided on RNY because of the dumping and reflux. I dump if the sugar or fat is over a certain number and it was my control mechanism and it stopped my reflux all together. Best decision I ever made.
  8. I weigh every day. It is my way of saying I had to much salt the night before, I think about when was the last time I had a bowel movement, how late I ate or pay myself in the back for losing. I never get discouraged. Its always used as a lesson of I have gained
  9. Memory. Bowel blockage after surgery and ended up back in hospital for a week. I would still do it again.
  10. I agree. I tell everyone. But it is a personal choice. People will wonder how you're losing so quickly and after you took time off work if you do? It was just easier for me.
  11. Yes, walk, walk, walk. Learn to eat meals in 30 minutes or more, walk, drinking lots of water but sipping, walking is good and oh yeah, add walking to your daily routine. I cannot stress walking enough. It will make things easier for you after surgery.
  12. I didn't even read anything but the title. Don't waste your calories in something you really don't need. It just starts bad habits.
  13. I moved from Ohio to Florida so I can walk on the beach every night after work.
  14. PS the excess skin is the least of your worries. You having all your health issues with an 8 year old is.
  15. I went to 200 seminars in 3 years before I decided. It's a hard choice to step out of familiarity and into the unknown. Only you can decide if this is what's best for you. I will tell you, after all I went through, I would do it again in a heartbeat but sooner. Good luck to you
  16. Girls you don't have to do without the foods you love!!! Find healthy ways to eat them. Pizza is my favorite too. After 6 different recipes I found one I LOVE!! Pinterest is a great place to start. Learning how to make your food healthier will also keep your mind busy.
  17. I actually gained 14 pounds before surgery. Never was put on a "diet". My insurance came back with an answer in 5 days. I am down 130 pounds and still have about 50 to go. RNY 11/5/2014
  18. I do insurance and I will honestly say that unless the extra skin is around the belly, insurance looks at it as cosmetic. As a nurse, I will tell you that anything moist you add to it can cause yeast infections so you really have to be careful. I use deodorant for all my extra skin for yeast and chafing.
  19. I am new to the site and the area. From Columbus, Ohio but moved 3 weeks ago to St. Petersburg Florida. RNY 11/5/14. Looking for new friends in the area. tinagerhardt10@gmail.com
