  1. That's so awesome! Mine is two weeks from Wednesday! I'm so nervous! It seems like it's coming up so fast!
  2. Congrats!!!! That's awesome! This makes me excited for my surgery in two weeks!!! I can't wait until Onederland
  3. My surgery is coming up and I just wanted to know if anyone can tell me what to expect. I was 257 when I started the process but now I'm around 242. I'm 5'6. I want to be 135-145 but I don't know if I'm asking for too much with that. I'm having the RNY.
  4. Thanks everyone for the support. I'm feeling a lot better today. I think I was just railroaded by reality. I've been working with a therapist from the beginning and he told me in the past that it's normal to feel this way I just never thought it would happen to me. I am really confidant in my decision and I know it's the right one. I think last night was just the wake up moment. This morning I feel like I'm really ready. I think I just needed to let it all out last night. I'm just ready for it to be here already. I'm so ready to move forward with my life.
  5. I'm so overwhelmed. My surgery is a little more than two weeks away. And I think it's all finally kicking in. I've been working REALLY hard to educate myself and i literally feel like I couldn't be anymore prepared. But it's seriously emotionally draining. I KNOW I'm making the right choice so I don't really know why I'm this overwhelmed. I think it's because I can't believe I'm actually doing it. I never thought it would come to this. I just can't believe that I didn't take care of myself. How could I do this to my body? I put on weight physically but I've also put on weight mentally. I'm prepared to take the weight off all aspects of my life but just thinking about how life changing this surgery is is a lot to take in. Anybody else feel like they are hit with an emotional train before surgery?
  6. Hi everyone my name is Kacy! I started the gastric bypass process back in April and my RnY surgery date is set for September 30th! When I started my program I was 257 pounds, today at my pre op class I weighed 243 (14 pound loss). I start a two week liquid diet next Monday and I really want to be at 235 by my surgery date. Is that a reasonable goal to get to before surgery??? The reason I picked 235 is because my long term goal is 135 and that will mean I have exactly 100 pounds to lose after surgery. How much do people lose on a two week liquid diet? Am I aiming to high???
  7. I'm 22. I have my bypass on September 30th! I'll let you know how it goes
  8. September 30th!!! I've been counting down already! Just had my last preop class! I'm so excited! Liquid diet starts next week!
