Desperate for a Buddy (10/22)
I also heard that I shouldn't take a robe. And that we will be so out of it we won't remember half of the things we bring. As far as shakes I still haven't found a favor or brand i like. All of them give me a horrible after taste. But I know I better get it together bc I will need my protein post op. I have stocked up on broth. Congrats to those of you being sleeved in the morning. I cam so proud of all of us for making this life changing decision. I wish I could reach and hug all of you. #Happsunday 4 more days the anticipation is killing me.

Regret surgery
@ i can sympathize with you on being a 25 year old. I only have one little girl and she is 13 months old. I made this decision almost 7 months ago, and its been a hard and long road but it will get better. My surgery is set for the 22nd of this month which is exactly a week from today. Lets connect because I do believe that you would live a happier and healthier life. Its so easy to become depressed after gaining baby weight I was there. But as the scale kept going up I realized that I have to make this change for not only myself but for my baby. Its worth a try hun. I am here for you if you would like to talk. Blessings to you. Feel free to message me.

I guess its to be expected to have so many emotions involved when making such a life changing decision. We can definitely keep in touch. How long were you planning to have this surgery?? Message me.

Waiting on Aetna to Approve (How long did you wait)
@@ShrinkingPeach I was told that the clinicals were not submitted with the initial request and they just received those on Tuesday. So its safe to assume they officially have everything they need.... but the waiting is so hard.

Waiting on Aetna to Approve (How long did you wait)
So I am waiting patiently for Aetna to approve me. I have called everyday since last Thursday when the request was submitted and reluctantly the auth is still pending. I work in a medical office doing authorizations so I have checked as a provider and patient and still nothing. The nurse handling my case is out of the office today I dont want to be a bug a boo but darn it I am anxious. Surgery date is Oct 22nd and a second date of Oct 27 just in case. Anyone else waiting on Aetna?? Help a sista out.... I pray that they approve me after all of this.

I've got my Date Oct. 19, Anyone close to that?
My date is October 22nd I am in Austin Texas. Woohoo.. It may change, however, we are still waiting on approval from Aetna and as some of us know they take their time. But I am excited.

Insurance Request Being Submitted!
I am currently waiting as well it is so hard. I think I've called Aetna every single day.

5 Days & Feeling Blue
I totally agree with everyone. I am scheduled for surgery next Thursday and I will say its been a long road. I gained and lost during my insurance req weight loss program. My pre op diet has been giving me the blues as well so I totally feel where you all are coming from. But you have to believe that you can do this. I am just having faith in God honestly. When it gets too difficult for me I remember why I am doing this. You got this dont beat yourself up too bad just take baby steps.

When do you get a date
@@Lexigurl82 OMG Girl Aetna is giving me the blues. My surgeons office submitted my request on 10-7 and I have bugged Aetna every day since. At first they kept saying they hadn't received clinicals and then they finally said its still pending the nurse is reviewing the case. Maybe I am just anxious because I am supposedly having surgery a week from today. But girl just stay strong. I am praying for you

Pre Op Triumph-Determination
So quick update I just left my final NUT visit and my starting weight at the beginning of my program in May was 258. I gained 6 pounds by my August visit and they warned me that I needed to be under 258 by today's appt, because I have Aetna insurance and they wont approve me if I have a net gain. I followed through with my portion control and forced my way to the gym. Today's weigh in I am 254.5 pounds. So even if you do have mishaps and gain during your pre-op period just get back on track. Think about why you are doing this, and who you are doing this for. Maybe for yourself, your family, your future bikini . But make it up in your mind to stay focused no matter what the scale may say. We may get down but we are never defeated. I am proud of each and everyone of you guys. WOOOHHH HOOO Next Stop Pre Surgery Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.

Denied!????
Well what insurance do you have? I have Aetna and they want only 2 years. There has to be a loop hole. Here is what they require if you have Aetna. Must meet either 1 (adults) or 2 (adolescents): For adults aged 18 years or older, presence of persistent severe obesity, documented in contemporaneous clinical records, defined as any of the following: Body mass index (BMI) (see appendix) exceeding 40; or BMI greater than 35 in conjunction with any of the following severe co-morbidities: Clinically significant obstructive sleep apnea (i.e., person meets the criteria for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea set forth in CPB 0004 - Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Adults); or Coronary heart disease, with objective documentation (by exercise stress test, radionuclide stress test, pharmacologic stress test, stress echocardiography, CT angiography, coronary angiography, heart failure or prior myocardial infarction); or Medically refractory hypertension (blood pressure greater than 140 mmHg systolic and/or 90 mmHg diastolic despite concurrent use of 3 anti-hypertensive agents of different classes); or Type 2 diabetes mellitus
