I think the gas pains has been my worst fear!!!! @@jolms glad you had some colleagues that could recommend someone for you, it always helps to know you have a good surgeon, everyone has raved about mine. I had my pre-op today, went well & I lost 7 lbs. yea!!! Stocked up on my protein powder & vitamins, found the Biotene moisturizing spray at Walgreens. I also splurged on some magazines to read when I get home. I think I'm just about ready!!!

Glad you finally found someone to help you out with surgery, they must be a great physician! You did a good job with the band, but I have a girlfriend who had trouble with hers. Added @@ChunkyChocolate to our growing October surgery list!! Well tomorrow is my 1 week pre-op visit! Hopefully everything will still be a go!!! I've done just about everything I can but not sure if I have lost enough weight yet! I'm doing the 2 protein shakes a day & one meal for the last month. This next week will be 3 protein drinks. Still having some issues with headaches, but are better. Constipation is terrible, but getting some relief from miralax. I think I better buy the large container of the stuff lol!!!! Somedays I'm feeling so confident of what I'm getting myself into, & other days the anxiety creeps in about surgery! All good though, have a great husband who has given me full support! I'm very blessed! And the support here is just wonderful, not feeling alone at all!!!! @@Meganedh put the 22nd on our surgery list!

@@irishaggie, we have the same day for our new beginning!!! I will be thinking about you! I too am a little scared but know that this too will pass. Wonderful people on here to share their experience with us & help guide us. We will feel so much better once we heal!!!! We will be celebrating our Oct. 8th 1 year anniversary next year very glad we did this!!!!

Our group is really growing!! Wonderful to know we aren't alone in this!

@@covarrubia911 I'm having headaches too, I haven't been taking anything for them, trying to stay away from everything before surgery. I have been off caffeine & sugar long enough to not be the cause. Hopefully it will get better. @@winklie I added you to our list of surgery's for October on page 20 @@dancingqueene Hope you get approved for surgery, I know it can be very frustrating!

@@edie091371 I purchased those same things, along with eye mask & earplugs. Taking my most comfortable gown, & pillow. I tried to find the Biotin moisturizing mouth spray but Walmart was out. I'm ready to go!!!! My Doctor gave me a prescription for low dose anxiety meds. Helping a lot!!!

Hello Merylin, Welcome! Its not easy being on a diet!!! I have a hard time loosing weight even when I try!!! Hopefully my Bypass surgery will help! Which surgery are you going to have?
