  10. I'm in Utah - yesterday I was a little slow but today I'm back to great !! I'm not lifting or eating cheeseburgers ( which I need ????????) but I feel really good.
  11. @@atontor I had surgery Friday and feel great !! Very excited about this journey and I love learning from everyone ... I was able to go home same day and I've been a little sore - but nothing like some of the comments I've read. I had no idea some people stay 2 days. I even drove myself to the store after I got home Friday. Takes a lot to get all the fluid down but I'm not hungry and able to do laundry and things. I walk my dogs a lot. I use a Vivofit to track my steps and Saturday I did 6000 steps but Sunday and so far today 10k + .... You look really good. I'm excited for you !!
  12. @@atontor Congrats !!! You look great !!
  13. Try sleepy time tea. I have used everything and this stuff works well for me anyway
  14. I had surgery Friday 9/11. I went home same day. Minimal pain, no nausea. Drove to grocery store after I got home. I think it depends on how active you are prior to surgery. Walk as much as you can. I'm 2 days post op & feel great !! ** Sip sip is tough - that didn't sink in when I was told. ** Tying my shoes for a walk - not great. ** I love Popsicles now - sugar free tropical flavors. ** how amazing it feels to get moving, I walked 9k steps today - and feel really good. No longer taking pain meds. Stay active before and walk as much as your body allows after - you will feel great
  15. I asked several doctors about this actually I was on a pre op clear liquids for 1 week. He said its asked on your percentage. Higher % longer liquid diet Going home also depends on the anesthesiast ( spelling ). He spoke w me for 30 minutes before surgery explaining everyone and getting to know everything about me. They have lots of before surgery nausea pills - and when I had a lumpectomy 3 years earlier I got really sick - so he gave me a different dose of things during surgery. There were 9 people in the operating room 5 were from the anesthesiast office. I was groggy but not sick. I haven't needed any of the pills except for 2 pain pills so far
  16. Oh me too. I thought for sure I would have cravings for Cheeseburgers. The more I move the better I feel I feel really good this afternoon
  17. A little sore but doing really good. Take my dogs out for a walk every 2 hours. I am hungry though What is your status
  18. I agree completely. I haven't told anyone except my mom
  19. Yeah !!! I had the sleeve yesterday !!!
  20. Truth. Staying over was never a plan. I'm a cash patient and the surgical center where it was done ( on the grounds of a hospital ) doesn't have sleep overs. Dr Cottam has been doing the surgeries at this location for 12 years. As long as the Emend is taken prior to surgery and a good anesthesiologist is good - yes. I walk my dogs a mile every other hour. I take 1/2 pain med every 3-4 hours but I'm good. I have a drain bag attached I empty out - but overall I feel great !!!
  21. Since we can only sip - seems it takes forever to finish a glass of water ???? but I finish and I have 2.5 dogs so I'm definitely walking. Slight pain this morning but no nausea and I have 5 scripts for nausea. So happy. No I can catch up on everyone else's stories !!! Thanks guy
  22. Took Emend ( nausea ) 0230 Checked in 0530 Surgery 0630 Wok up 0915 Not nauseous ( due to Emend ) Walked, chatted with nurses and doctor. Check out 1345 ( 145p ) Been home almost 7 hours. Slight pain where drain is - have been walking dogs and made dinner for my family !!! Nurse had this surgery and we compared notes about Emend ! We both went home the same day as surgery. I'm not a sales rep for Emend - however, I hate the nauseous feeling and this is the best !!! So happy for me and for everyone on this journey ... thank you guys and gals support !!!
  23. Surgery at 0530 am !!! So excited !!! Need to take EMEND at 0230. Clearly not getting any sleep ????????
