I'm not pigging out. But, I do notice if I have something off plan, I don't feel guilty like I've done in the past. With me, it's not about the food, but the emotions associated with certain foods. I'm watching what I eat and the quantities. And I know chances are that it's months later or never before I'll be able to eat some things. I'm still pre-op and how to get sleeved in December. I'm avoiding buffets at all costs.

I'm glad I'm reading your answers so I know what to expect. When I was losing weight a few years ago, people noticed at the -25 pound stage, but the compliments and remarks from haters were constant around the -40 to -50 pound loss.

My husband had never been obese; when he was overweight, he dropped the pounds and has not had a problem in years with his weight. Now that I'm doing surgeon consultations, I'm opening up more about addressing my weight. We have never talked about it. He seems supportive so far. I've tried some of everything over the past 4 years. He hasn't complained. I think me considering surgery is bringing us closer. I'm having to explain my struggles. We are communicating more about other things, too. I hope things don't change for the worse. I will be hope fur the best for everyone else here, too.

I saw a YouTube vid of a young lady who was about 22 or so. I'm 31. I wish I had known about the sleeve or thought about surgery when in was younger. I should be able to have mine between December and January.

Who was your surgeon? I'm consulting with Dr. Long next week.

I had the Zip for four months. I decided to get the Charge as my pre-surgery gift/accountability. I've had it since Thursday, and I wish I had it at first!

I have created a list of questions. I meet two different surgeons in late September so I can choose the best one for me. I have researched all of the procedures and decided the sleeve is the best option for me. I will be self paying and hoping to go the hiatal hernia repair option to decrease my costs since my insurance plan excludes WLS surgery. I keep feeling like there's something more I should do to prepare. Do any if you have suggestions???

My consultation is Sept. 25. I teach, and hope,wish, and pray that I can use my December beak from work to have surgery and recover. Thus, I should be done by January or have it in January without interfering with my workload too much.

Just starting. My initial consult is scheduled for next month, Sept. 25th. I have UHC, too.

How was it to get your spouse, family, and friends to support you? I'm the first one in my circle to do this. I'm not sure how this will go when I share with people about my decision. I have spoken to one of my sisters and my husband, and they are ok.
