  1. I have not weighed my self this week( plan to wait and weight my self sept 8 at the stage 3 food meeting) that being said - I was down 27lbs last Monday-
  2. I measure everything as well and dinner takes me 1 hour to eat 3 tbs of food like cottage cheese or yogurt - also the same amount of time to eat 3 oz of meat. I Need to eat a bite and wait 10 mins. I had surgery aug 3. And feel like I am chasing my protein all day.
  3. I had surgery aug 3., before surgery I worked out 14 hrs a week. Now 4 weeks post op- I find it is taking forever to get my stamina back. I walk each day and have a physical job that I am back to, but I can not wait to be able to walk 3 miles again with out feeling like I am 100. Feel like my muscles have gone away and I need to start over.
  4. Florist - work 6 to 7 days a week.
  5. I had my sleeve aug 3. My husband and teenage daughters knew. Also I have a friend going through it too, so she knew. As for family I told my patents ( who I work for) that I needed 2 wks off wrk for a little procedure. I told no one else!! When the dr did my sleeve he found I had a hernia - so now if anyone asks why I have been out - I say hernia surgery. For me I do not want the gossiping behind my back and the chatter. Now do I think my parents figured it out - yes. But I stick to my hernia story!! Plus I had complications the first day and was so dehydrated I need 25lbs of Fluid and blood transfusions in me- so that's my story- I am a private person and just that added drama- blah who needs it right now!!
  6. Aug 3 had the sleeve done at Lowell General - from the Bedford area
  7. Best for bruises - my looked so much better using it 3 times a day, after only a week
  8. My dr said no drinks ever after surgery - u can be drunk after just 1 oz- let alone after surgery- why do that to yourself!?!?
  9. Aug 3 Lowell gen
  10. I had my surgery aug 3- my husband and 2 daughters knew and 1 friend who is also having surgery. I td my father ( boss) I needed 2 weeks off for some elective surgery. I ended up needing hernia too- so the few people that became aware I was not " around" now think it is because of that. Heck that was how one of my sisters found out I was in the hosp ., she called the family business and was told I was out with hernia surgery lol I chose to not tell people, it is so personnel and I did not want to be a topic of conversation with others!
  11. My surgery was aug 3- and let me tell you dehydration is real and sucks!!! I tried to walk the first day after surgery and passed out- turns out u was severely dehydrated and my blood pressure dropped to 60/40 for mit than 20 hrs! They pumped me full of " supper Iv's" and I need blood transfusions I had to stay longer in the hosp. And one week out I still retained 25- that's right 25 lbs of fluid that they had to pump into me !!!! I freak out each day to drink enough and to try and move the extra fluid out!!!
  12. I had my sleeve done on aug 3. They also found I had a hernia and repaired that. I went into this thinking the recovery process would be a piece of cake ( for lack of a better term). Instead it has SUCKED Day 1 surgery day I thought I will go for a walk- they un hooked my right arm from all the Iv's and hooked everything to my left arm - gave me the ok to try and walk. My husband thank god was with me, I stood mentioned I felt dizzy and boom - was out cold on the floor for 20 mins- nurses came running - my blood pressure dropped 60/40 and stayed that low for the next 20 hrs. I ended up w blood transfusions and so many " juices up Iv's" that my arms legs feet and stomach were swollen beyond belief. Because the could not get my labs in range I had to stay an extra night. I finally went home tired and wondering WTH was I thinking!!! The giant bruise on me and just trying to walk up a flight of stairs leaves me panting!!! Previous to surgery I worked out 14 hrs a wk- so this came as a shock!!! I have a constant low grade fever- so that's a joy to! I can not stomach the Vitamins - they make me vomit - so dr said just do antacid for now. So I make it to week 1 post op go see surgeon - I am retaining fluids still - like 25 freakin lbs of fluids!!!!!!!!!! My dr did not seem concerned, I on the other hand want to take a fork to my eye! And bonus, my labs are better but not great so I need more lab wrk????????. I get the ok to start with Protein shakes - except they make me want to puke - we have bought every kind around - blah - I use to love the body fortress choc now it's like the smell and texture of the shakes make me gag !! I am living on Water and maybe 4 oz of broth and 4 oz diet cranberry - Oy vay - ok that's my intro and my vent - each day will get better, just hard to see the Forrest through the trees right now!
