  1. Every single one of your comments and stories are amazingly inspirational and helpful. Thank you so much!
  2. I'm 26 pounds down over six weeks, and still very heavy. I work online all day, and have been very sedentary for many years. Because of that, I feel like my knees are okay and I'm afraid of stressing them with extra walking etc at this weight, bit want to increase the speed of my weight loss. My caloric intake is still quite low, and exertion seems to increase major energy crashes. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  3. I know... Every body is different, but, I really thought it would be more/faster. Aside from the obvious things: protein, fluids, low carbs that I'm already doing, what do you fast losers do differently? Do you eat on a schedule? Have you lost enough weight to work out without hurting yourself? Where do your calories fall each day? What question am I not asking that will help me drop weight faster? Thanks!
  4. Energy can be pretty low in that time frame so be sure you are prepared to care deeply for yourself, even at work. Make sure you have all the fluid and mushies intake you need as often as you need to keep your energy stable. If it's physically strenuous you might have a tougher time Bc your caloric intake is so low and your body will be delegating its resources to healing your stomach and incisions, and flushing out fat and drugs from the hospital.
  5. I'm a month out and find eating feels normalish if I don't eat too much or too fast and the food isn't abrasive to my sleeve or too fatty.
  6. I love the vitamin patches! All of the chewable vitamin brands my program allows are gmo! I don't want that, so I use the patches which don't irritate my sleeve.
  7. Not pregnant but wanted to offer a few products I know of that are not gmo and/or, organic: Naked whey grass fed Undenatured whey Protein Dr Axe Collegen Protein and Healing Protein Phood plant based high Protein powder Best of luck!
  8. Wow! That is a pretty universal no response. Thanks!
  9. Thank you all so much for the helpful perspectives and advice.
  10. Like most people, the idea of colonics make me squirm, but I can't help thinking that after decades of really unhealthy food choices, hosing out the sludge can't hurt. I've also read that it helps detox which aids weight loss. Anyone have any experience to share? Do colonics help you lose weight?
  11. Of course you are entitled to keep your secret, without feeling guilty. Our bodies are extremely personal space. That said, I would just like to share that I never thought, in a million years, I would have WLS, but then my sister had it. And I saw her succeeding. I saw she was healthier. Happier. I never personally knew anyone who did it, and once I did, that's what made me take the plunge.
  12. Thank you all do much for your support! I find if I eat every 3-4 hours I'm okay.
  13. My plan calls for eating two ounces of food three times daily, but I don't feel it's enough. Having bouts of sudden and debilitating weakness that comes on suddenly. I can't tolerate protein shakes. Do you eat more often? How does it effect your weight loss?
  14. Thank you for responding. No it's not specific to standing up. I think I just use up all my fuel and when I hit empty it's too late. I feel I should be eating more often, if I want to function. Protein shakes are not my friend. My sleeve doesn't tolerate them.
  15. Probably fungal. I use a topical cream for symptoms similar to yours.
  16. Love extensions but they weigh on your hair/put stress tension on it. I used to wear them all the time. The tape in kind I've not tried because of the expense but if your hair can take it, extensions can be beautiful.
  17. Ive always been addicted to sweets. When I get a craving I have been having either a spoon of RAW local honey or a couple ounces of sweet potatoes. Cakes, cookies and candy are no longer a part of my life.
  18. Thank you. I'm three weeks in and constantly wonder if I'm losing weight. This post really encouraged me.
  19. I was sleeved three weeks ago. I am allowed wet foods, but only three times a day. Whenever I exert myself, for instance, going grocery shopping, I become suddenly very weak and feel like I'm going to fall over. Does this happen to you? Is it blood sugar? How do you prevent this?
