  1. The doctors suggested the bypass for me but I decided on the sleeve because I dont feel comfortable with the whole rerouting of the intestines thing and the doctor complied. Im 5"9 290 and I feel the sleeve will be perfect for me. I will be done with all requirements next month! Cant wait to get approved

  3. Well hello Chicago sleevers! I just found this page. I will be finished with all my requirements by the end of September. Im having my surgery at the University Of Chicago hopefully early November. Super excited!!

  6. I will have all of my requirements finished by the end of September and I am getting super excited! All I think about is my surgery. Hopefully Cigna approves me in a timely matter so I can get a end of October or beginning of November surgery date. Keeping my fingers crossed!
  7. Has anybody had/ or will have their procedure at the University Of Chicago?

  9. I just had a EGD last week and I am required to have another in 8 weeks because the found I had a food allergy. They prescribed me Prilosec and said that should take care of the problem. I still have 1.5 months of the required 3 month dietician so thats no problem. Im so anxious to get this process over with so I can get to the approval process! I also have to do a sleep study next month so September will be an appointment filled month for me. Wish me luck!
  10. Hello everyone I am from Chicago and Cigna is my insurance carrier. I will be on month 3 of my 3 month supervised weight loss program on 8-25. I still have to do a sleep study next month, a second ekg next month and meet with my pcp. After those appointments I will almost be at the approval process and hope to have surgery in early December. Im 5"9 290lbs and want to shed 120lbs of this unwanted weight. I am so excited about surgery and it seems like its all I can think of at this point! Im so glad to read about other people going thru this journey as it seems like im the only one at times. Good luck everybody! Now lets shed these lbs together!!!
  11. I cant wait until I get to that point! It just seems like you have to go thru so much to get there and that alone can be demorolizing
  12. What insurance do you guys have. I have Cigna and I have two months left on my diet also with a slight weight as well.
  13. Hopefully I can get a surgery date before the end of the year.
  14. Hi Miss Mac Im out sout also in the Roseland area. Im having my surgery at the University Of Chicago. Im almost finished with my insurance and hospital requirements!
  15. I am currently still in the approval process. I still have two m o re months with the dietician a n d a few other things have to be done for per the hospital but I am moving alone and hope I get approved!
