Hi guys just wondering if anyone else kept their surgery a 'secret'? I'm getting sleeved in 4 weeks and have so far only told my parents, my two brothers (and their partners) and one friend. I know I'm going to get a lot of questions from all other friends and family, so wondering if I should just make it something I tell everyone or keep to original plan of a secret. Anyone else have any opinions on this or experienced this themselves?

Now I've get everyone's attention lol how long after surgery did people do the deed?? I have a high sex drive ????????

I'm 6 days post op and still haven't felt "full" .. Im worried I'll stretch my sleeve ???? I'm limiting meals to 200-250mls but still worried

Hey guys just wondering who did the liquid diet before surgery, and for how long and why? My surgeon said I don't need to and it's not going to be any benefit to surgery but my dietitian said it's beneficial to do two weeks. I've had a migraine for 3 days and called my surgeons office and reception lady told me to eat if I want to as it doesn't matter either way? Thanks

So my partner hasn't been very supportive of my upcoming surgery! During an argument tonight he referred to my savings for my surgery as my "fat money" an I looked at him disputed and his response was "well it's true the reason your getting surgery is cos your fucking fat" .. I'm so hurt right now... ????

Your correct on so many levels.. I sit here typing this through my tears. Nothing is ever easy with him. When we're good - were really good but when we're bad - were really really bad. He can't own up to his wrongs and apologise for them without me pushing him to do it. And you know it's funny the things you say - he has said. Lots of times through anger has said he will come smack my face in - not that I think he would but the threat is there. He throws things in anger. Yells and carry a on or just up and leaves and turns his phone off. It can be quite upsetting at times. But then I get stuck because when we are good I love him so much. He plans things for us to do as a family, he is caring and affectionate, plays with the kids and helps me around the house. It's the bad side of him I hate

Your right.. His negativity isn't going to do me any good. I just don't know what to do, I do love him so so much but I'm also so hurt by him. I'm so confused.. I just wrote my feelings down and sent it in a text to him - even tho his asleep next to me, at least he will read it before work and hopefully wake up to himself

It's usually ok but when we argue it can get full on and he can be quite nasty & say some hurtful things. We've got 2 children together. 2 year old & 3 month old, so you'd think he would be a lot nicer but that isn't the case. It's not the first time his put me down about my weight. He always apologies and says he only said it in anger but I just don't know when enough is enough..

America is so different. I'm in Australian and my private health care pays everything. All I pay is $3000 to my surgeon..

. I'm from Australia too, but my surgeon has told me it'll be 1-2 nights depending on how I recover. I may have to double check mine then but I was sure that's what he said. I'll call tomorrow and let you know what he says ????

Good advice thanks guys. I have started talking about going to the gym too so I have put it out there already that things are changing. I plan on posting on Facebook if anyone can recommend a good NUT - even tho I have one, just so friends and family see the process starting already before the surgery and then hopefully won't get as many questions. I also have a 2 month old son and an almost 2 year old son (next week his 2) so there's the looking after the boys that I'm hoping people don't question my parents.

Thankyou! I have decided to just keep it to the people I've already told and that's all. I'm so excited to start this journey and not going to let this negative thoughts get in my way ????

Thank you everyone for your input. I'm scared to tell people, and worried what negativity may come my way but I don't like feeling that I'm lying either. Good point about other people feeling frustrated that I would do so well 'on my own' if they can't. I have a lot to think about..

Hi just wondering if anyone has experienced their partners not being entirely supportive. I'm due to get my surgery in 4 weeks and my partner isn't being overly supportive. He says that once I loose all my weight I will leave him. We have two children together an have been together for over 3 years. I love him with my whole heart and wouldn't leave him but I have no idea how to prove that to him and can't help but feel that he is putting negative pressures on me!

Thankyou ladies. Things are hectic enough with the surgery in 4 weeks and having a 2 month old and almost 2 year old to worrie about let alone these issues he is having. Just hoping it all works out in the end ????
