  1. How often with miralax?
  2. Are you walking? If not you need to dorce yourself to get up and go. You will surprised at how much it helps. Force yourself to get up (auto correct is the enemy) Force yourself to get up
  3. Currently 4 weeks postop. Down 31 lbs. Was feeling great until this am when I had the worst constipation I have ever had in my life. 1 dulcolax and one saline enema later and I feel like I have been run over by a truck. Any recommendations to prevent this? I'm getting plenty of fluids. As of yet I have not added extra fiber to my diet.
  4. Dr. Hart did my sleeve 5 days ago. Definitely a winner in my book. Off pain meds day 2 and ready for soft foods in 2 more days. Good luck!!
  5. Congratulations! ! I started my journey 5 days ago and actually feel pretty good postop. Off pain meds by day 2. I cannot wait to be able to add my story to this list.
  6. May need to switch to nonmilk protein.
  7. I'm currently ending my second day PO and have not needed pain meds all day. Meeting my fluid goals without issue. My new stomach is not afraid to let me know when I am being too aggressive. For those having trouble with their protein shakes try the Nectar brand. I am taking 4 per day in FF milk as recommended by my NUT. Sipping 2 to 3 oz every 15 minutes till gone. Gatorade and SF Popsicles in between with the odd SF fudgesicle thrown in for good measure. Feeling good.
  8. Try the nectar protein shakes. They go done really easy. I'm postop day 3 taking 4 per day as recommended by my NUT.
  9. Do you have any bleeding issues? Please call your oncall surgeon ASAP.
  10. Gas X, an antacid as well as lots of walking will help.
  11. I think you are mistaken. I am 2 days post op and am on liquids. 3 to 4 protein shakes(8oz each) plus an additional 16 oz of liquids. Soft food not recommended until week 2 or 3 depending on your MD.
  12. I'm 1 day postop and all I can say is walk walk walk and walk some more.
  13. Great job!!! Had my sleeve this morning. Great to read stories like yours
  14. Had my sleeve this morning and am doing pretty well. Pain meds working well but get a little tough at the end of the dose schedule. Gas pain is the worst part but walking and the insentive spirometer (blue breathing exercise device ) really do help.
  15. Has anyone heard of delay in sleeve surgery due to a low Vitamin D level?
