It is incredibly frustrating when the insurance company gets in the way of your health. Especially when they try and override the decisions of actual medical professionals. Keep your chin up and keep on pushing through! This is something you can do!! And if you don't feel like your PCP or any other part of your team doesn't have your back, find another one. That can make all the difference in your experience. Every person involved should be on your side. We certainly are!!!

I'm getting a Sleeve on August 18! My husband and I went to the pre-op day on Thursday and everything went really well. I'm pretty excited and feeling confident. I have to be there a day early to have an IVC filter put in to catch potential blood clots. I have a genetic blood clotting disorder and have experienced multiple DVTs and gone through pulmonary emboli twice. I think this is the only thing I have any anxiety about and not really that much. I've learned how to control the blood clotting and have good tools and support for keeping everything under control. I'm looking forward to blowing past that "average 60%" weight loss statistic!

Instructions will vary based on which vitamins you are getting your iron from. Iron can interfere with your body's ability to absorb calcium. So those need to be taken separately, typically 1+ more apart.
