It has been a long ride because i had smoked marijuana for years so that slowed my process down because i had to be cleaned had my urine test yesterday that was the last of my package now waiting on the nurse to get back to me im a bit nervous on what to except now but really need to do this anyone knows what happens once the package is completed ? hii well i have not had my surgery yet im getting it hopefully by october but i do know that alone feeling the very few ppl i have told are not supportive at all everyone says but your not THAT FAT ugggg if they only knew i had a few cheerleaders when i started my prosess but now that im getting closer to surgery everyone has just slipped away but its ok i made the choice to get healthy they made the choice to not be apart so when im at my best i dont want to see them around me i hope you get thru this your not alone this site is really greatfor support if you ever wanna chat ill be here i live in nyc ????

I already have health issues so the gastric bypass is the only thing that my doctors are suggesting. hey just want to say i feel like this my husband acts supportive but anytime i try n talk to him he pays me no mind or brushes what i say off anytime i say i cant wait to do something he is so discouraging im at the point where i just dont want to say anything to him and just continue my journey to hopefully get my surgery in october he will never understand what i feel like or to her oh but your not THAT FAT gets annoying and i just want my health back do not let no one rain on your parade good luck on all you do . ????????

Hi I am post op week 6 from RNY on June 25 and feel that weight lost has been very slow for me. I feel frustrated and defeated. I am doing and following everything and exercise 30 minutes daily if possible but not weekend. My weight lost has been the following: Start o my journey : 248 lbs After 2 weeks liquid diet: 237 lbs 10 day post op appt: 225 Week 5 post op: 215 My primary care doctor who I seen over the week end told me my weight lost was kind of slow compare to most other weight lost surgery. My bubble was busted and I cry all day. I have my 6 week follow up with my surgeon on Wednesday August 5,2015. I admit that I was hoping to be down to 200 lbs but I don't think this will happen. So I just need someone to help guide me through this and give encouragement. Thanks hi i am waiting to have my surgery in october with all these things running thru my mind i wont sit here and say ahh you can do it but i will say is YOU WILL DO IT. everyone is different i have been around many ppl who have gone thru this surgery some with amazing outcomes some just a little and as for my brother not at all but i will tell you to please stay focus the steps you took to get this surgery was the biggest weight lost of all you made that step now one day at a time you continue to hold your heds up and tell your self I GOT THIS . Time is our enemy so lets make it our friend slow progress is greater than NO progress ????????????

thank you yes after losing my brother i knew it was time for a change im not morbib obese but dont want to get there either im in the hunts point area im also afraid of dumping but i have bad acid reflux so i heard gastric takes it away

Same here 6 months wait I had a different bariatric surgery at Lennox Hill with Dr. ROSLIN. He is an amazing surgeon but I am petrified of the bypass because of the malabsorption and the dumping. im scared of that also ????????????
