  2. Thank you! ....yes I do already take pantoprazole every day. I am curious...why would the gurgles kick in so far post-op?
  3. Hello everyone! I am 14 weeks post-op. I was "hanging" in there pretty good--- drinking about 60 oz of Water a day, and I was up to 75 grams of Protein on most days. Then, last weekend my guts starting bothering me! After eating, my intestines were making so much noise... gas, liquid, who knows what else! I felt like I should have had EXPLOSIVE diarrhea, but I didn't. I have felt so uncomfortable I am now behind on my water and protein intake. This ofcourse has led to very low energy. I worked all week trying to find a pattern. Does it happen more with some foods than others?... I can't find a pattern! Just to be extra cautious I gave up the dairy from my cottage cheese, and my 1 cup of coffee every day. However, my bowels are STILL talking to me. I havn't felt sick....like the flu or a cold. No one in my house has been sick either. I called my surgeon and talked to his nurse and she just told me to stay hydrated... Who can help me with this very noisy, and a uncomfortable phenomenon? I hope to figure something out soon so I can get back to my good nutrition and energy levels.
  4. Dr. Carlton did my sleeve on August 24,2015. He is an awesome surgeon. I had some problems with the gate keepers at the office though.
  5. I bought the Premier shakes before surgery. I did well on them for my pre-op diet. However today I am POD # 12 I can't get nearly enough Protein in and haven't been able to yet! The Premier Shakes are soooo gross now!

  7. I was also sleeved on 8/24015. Although I haven't posted anything I have been coming to the Forum to help me feel better. I thought I was so prepared. I read books, forums, and talked to plenty of people. Nothing has gone as planned. : ( I am living off sugar free popsicles, barely staying hydrated, and there is no Protein shake on this planet I can seem to get down. I imagine my body is eating away at my muscles....and then all my hair will fall out because I cant get my protein in. I am on the 21 day thin liquid plan. The forum friends that get food sooner seem a lot happier and with more energy. How am I to exercise when I am living off of the tiniest amount of calories? I am also faced with starting work on Wed.....hope I can figure out protein soon.

  22. How do you get the ticker thingy to show up on your posts? I like looking at people's progress. It is inspirational.
  23. OMG!!! I ate pizza!!! ....and apparently I don't chew my food well because the doc told me I ate pizza before I even had the chance to say anything, I was soooo embarrassed. I ate at 10 30pm and was scoped at 0800. I feel so much better thank you for your time! By the way...you are doing so awesome! I can't wait to be just like you. : )
  24. You have no idea how relieved you just made me feel! If you have time would you please let me know what the study was like? Specifically do I need to miss another WHOLE day of work? Thank you lexiemustand!
  25. Hi James, Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me. I should have stated that for the sleeve many doctors do the EGD to rule out hiatal hernias. If the patient has a hiatal hernia the doc will repair it during the sleeve surgery. So I was prepared to tall about having a hiatal hernia or not. I was not at all prepared to discuss delayed emptying of my stomach. I can't find details for the delayed emptying test.... doc office has no humans working today....I am a planner and ofcourse want information right now! : ) I have read this forum for months and have never read about anyone having this problem so it has freaked me out!!!!
