  1. Congratulations! This is the best present you could have given to yourself. I was sleeved last July and have lost about 70 pounds to date. I did it on a Wednesday and went back to work the following Monday. I feel and look great. Here a picture of me 1 month after surgery and the picture with the white top was actually taken 6 weeks before surgery. P.S. Happy birthday.
  2. @ Sdsdownes, I had my surgery on Wednesday July 29th and went back to work the following Monday and I'm a nurse. It will be a month tomorrow, I'm down about 30 lbs and have no side effects.

  11. I'm 53 and mom of 2 girls 30 & 27 and 2 grandsons 4 months and 4 years old. I was stucked on that yoyo bandwagon for about 3 decades. I'm almost 2 weeks post op and I feel great. Good luck ladies!
  12. Congratulations @@Zweiz, it will get better. I also had hiccups and nausea while in the hospital, but once I started walking everything started falling into place. I have not taken my nausea meds for the last two days. I'm one week post op today and went back to work last Monday. Hang in there sweetheart!
  13. Wow! God's great! Just like that I'm one week post op with no complications. I feel so good that I'm wondering what's next! I'm following my diet to the T, regardless of how boring it is. My first doctor visit will be on Monday, so I'll keep you updated with the results. A big thank you to all of you for your support during this process, I love you all!
  14. @@Alex Brecher, I can't thank you enough for your kindness. I'm doing well thank God. I went back to work yesterday and I'm feeling fine.
  15. Congratulations, I had my surgery last Wednesday and I'm back to work today. I feel great, but more than that these are the numbers that makes it all worth it. 2 weeks before surgery 240 lbs Day of surgery 229 lbs And as of today 221.5
  16. Welcome my dear, I also had my surgery last Wednesday and I'm getting better every day. I sleep and walk a lot and I stopped taking my pain meds after 2 days since I'm more sore than in pain. I normally sleep on my stomach which make me a bit uncomfortable now that I have to sloop on my back and side. I'm drinking my liquid but once I feel nauseated I live it alone for about an hour or so.
  17. @@englandgirlsleever, the only person you need to convince is you. Don't worry yourself about what people have to say, some of them just wished they could afford it. So the best of luck to you my sleeve sister.
  18. Congratulations, you look great!
  19. I had my surgery on the 29th as well and today is my 3rd day post op and I can tell you that I feel better every day that goes on. I wish you the best.

  21. I want to thank everyone on this forum who've helped me mentally prepared for that day, my surgery was at 11 o'clock yesterday and besides a few discomfort I feel fantastic. I'm about to leave the hospital and go home. Before my 2 weeks liquid diet, I was 240 lbs, yesterday I weighed in at 229 lbs before surgery so I'll definitely keep you guys posted on my progress as I go along. Again thank you all for your kindness and support.
