  3. I am in month 4 of 6 hopefully my surgery will be sometimes in October I too am new to this site. There seems to be a lot of great info, like the thought having people to exchange info with. I am in West Virginia (the state) not western Virginia my Doctor is Dr Akkary.

  5. And yes my insurance is covering the procedure I have a few conditions that warrant the surgery
  6. Yes I have been on a high-protein low-carb program for six months however there is not a specific amount of weight that I need to lose
  7. My doctor has not said That I needed to loss a certain amount of weight befor surgery why are some of you being asked to loss weight. Did I miss something should I contact my doctors office?
  8. Thanks everyone I figured the symptoms would not go away totally but hoping less pain and maybe less medication.
  9. Take a deep breath this is what you have bee working for. You will do great, may God watch over you durning surgery. Let us know how it is on the other side of surgery.

  17. Hi Bill, I am new also. I am looking at October for my surgery can't wait. Been trying to stay with high protein low everything else. Some days good some days not do good. Just take it one meal at a time.

  19. Hi everyone I am new to this, I am in the process of the 6 mo supervised diet my insurance requires. Can't wait until October that is when I can have my surgery. Right now I would like any information on two week clear liquid diet.
