  1. I won't miss having to wear spandex shorts under dresses so I don't get skin rash due to my thighs rubbing together!! Sorry to be graphic but also won't miss my thighs "eating" my shorts making them wrinkle and hike up my legs until they are in a bunch. Won't miss being afraid that I can't catch up to my 3 year old when he runs off. Won't miss feeling so winded when I climb 2 flights of stairs. Won't miss my more fit coworkers walking slowly because I can't walk briskly at their pace. Won't miss feeling guilty after over eating at every meal. Won't miss feeling sluggish and failing at every diet just to go back to the same old. Won't miss getting so sweaty so easily. Won't miss being too tired all the time for sex (lol). When I was lighter it was easier quite frankly. Won't miss my thighs taking up some of my neighbors space when flying on an airplane. Or the pain of forcing the arm rests down, squishing my hips. Won't miss mild sleep apnea. Wow that's a lot isn't it? I'm debating having the surgery but this is starting to convince me!
  2. Way to stay positive! Congrats on getting through surgery!
  3. Hi, I'm preop and just got approved by Kaiser to have bariatric surgery. I'm seriously considering the sleeve but am concerned about GERD since I get heartburn frequently. RNY is the other option I'm exploring. My husband had the RNY and kept off 100 lbs 10 years later. I'm scared to lose the comfort of food and I wonder if I tried hard enough to diet to warrant having this surgery. I just don't want to continue to fail and I'm tired of being tired. I've learned a great deal from you guys and have browsed posts for hours. Looking forward to learning more on my journey.
  4. @alkakinetrio262 how are you doing now? Sending positive thoughts your way!
