  1. Yeah I was just trying to stop the muscle cramps. I blended it until it was a liquid consistency with my shake.
  2. Has anyone had issues with bananas? How soon could you tolerate them? I'm 3 days post op and having horrible muscle cramps so I decided to put half of a banana in a protein shake and instantly felt horrible. I didn't start sweating but I did have a higher HR and a slight fever. My stomach hurt and I was very tired. Maybe mild dumping cause it wasn't as bad as others I've heard about. Any ideas?
  3. I started feeling the same thing but then I went and stepped on the scale and saw I've already lost 7 pounds only 3 days after surgery. Huge victory considering I've been sitting on my butt and putzing around the house for exercise.
  4. So aside from the hiccups I'm not really having any other symptoms besides some pressure in my chest. iIs anyone else going through this? It almost feels weird not having the nausea and sickness that everyone else is talking about maybe I'm just being overly cautious with my fluids and not drinking too much now. Maybe I'm lucky. It kind of makes me nervous. Two days post op.
  5. Well I just started tracking my milliliters having 30 every 15 minutes so hopefully that will reduce the amount of hiccups I have. I'm obviously having a hard time telling when I'm full. I haven't had too much pain just really when I wake up at first.
  6. Has anyone else had really bad hiccups after surgery? I had RNY bypass yesterday and ever since I've been getting the hiccups.
  7. Yes I'm having a bypass. I had some jello but also had a horrible migraine today and couldn't take anything for it. In excited for it to be here already!
  8. I check in at 8 AM and all my bags are packed. I still feel unprepared but I'm very excited. I only had 1 day of the liquid diet (today) and I'm very hungry. All I can think about is refried beans hahaha. I don't know how well I'll be able to sleep tonight but wish me luck!
  9. @@tiggerbug Probably not a bad thing. You get two vacations! I'm jealous. I know my chihuahua is looking forward to spending some time with me . Not too sure about my husband hahaha. He seems more nervous than I am.
  10. @@tiggerbug i know! It's very exciting and I cannot wait. Plus time off from work is always great haha.
  11. I'm scheduled for bypass on August 10th. I only have to start the liquid diet the day before then nothing to eat after midnight. My doctor does the endoscopy during surgery in case patients have a hiatal hernia she can correct it and check for leaks in the new pouch at the same time. Has anyone else heard of this? I've bought all my powder and vitamins and I am so anxious!
  12. I've been told to only drink 1/2 bottle of the magnesium citrate and liquid diet the day before. I haven't heard of anyone else doing this.
  13. My total process has been about 8 months. Surgery is in one week.
  14. I bought mine on Etsy. I have a sleeve tattoo and it was hard to find something that would stick out but this is so cute. I get compliments on it daily and she was very fast fulfilling my order. I highly recommend this shop. Also for anyone who is like me, has nails and refuses to remove jewelry for a shower, this is perfect. https://www.etsy.com/listing/229813054/medical-alert-o-ring-bracelet-stainless?ref=shop_home_active_21
  15. Good idea. Thank you, I was going to buy the huge tubs.
  16. I'm looking for people in Sacramento that are going to have or have had WLS. I'm hoping to get some exercise Buddies.
  17. Hi! I am scheduled for 8/10/15 8:00am to check in for surgery. I've done everything i need to do except buy my Protein powder and some more Vitamins. I have a list written for my hospital bag and a calendar with all my to do items. I've pre-registered at the hospital and done everything as far as pre-op preparaton, however I still feel unprepared. Any last minute preparation advice? I only have to go on a liquid diet the day before surgery and NPO after midnight. I've purchased chicken and beef broth, i'm making my own Jello and buying lots of sugar free drink mixes. Any Advice?
