Hey everyone, so the worst possible thing happened today.. I missed my appointment with the new surgeon today and had to reschedule so I have to wait another month to see the surgeon..... I'm so disappointed I've had my upper GI and endoscopy done and it shows a hiatal hernia severe case of GERDS and an ulcer..... My Current surgeon feels the need to do nothing and the closest surgeon is 4 hours away.......

Because he doesn't want to. Says nobody need the RNY, me personally feel as if I would've done better with the malabsorption procedure rather than the restriction procedure especially since my sleeve is bigger than the average person. My surgeon is a major ahole.

I'm just looking for anyone who has had Dr. Hugh Houston as their Weight Loss surgeon in Nashville, TN..... I have an appointment scheduled with him to see if he will take me on as a revision patient. I would really like to know if he's a good doctor. Any of your experiences with him would be great....

I wish my surgeon would've done the RNY but he no longer perform the procedure. I had the sleeve gastrectomy 15months ago and sad to say it was a failure I've had so many complication until I regret my decision to have the sleeve. Now I'm looking into a revision from the sleeve to the bypass

I have a question for those who have went through the sleeve to bypass revision.... What is the general process like for those of us trying to start the process to have the revision using our insurance

I need help absolutely nothing is under control. I'm staying in and out the Hospital because of all the nausea and vomiting the burning in my throat and stomach. And my blood sugar is always 500 + I'm so sick of this the purpose of me getting the sleeve was so I could become healthier.

I have United healthcare no requirements weird as of yet just the usual test EDG and Barium swallow so far

Sounds like you need to verify that they filed the claim as a revision due to GERD.

I sure hope so I'm miserable and my surgeon is a real Asshole to say the least. I've explored the option of trying to find a new surgeon to see if he can help me

I have talked to my surgeon he had tried me on every GERD med imaginable but is trying to insist that is my diet when it's not. I've been to my PCP he is sending me for the EDG but still no barium swallow. My doctors have really dropped the ball on this one. I'm also curious to know what my sleeve look like it hasn't been checked since the leak test was done the day after my surgery 15 months ago. This is so frustrating.

I'm still suffering so bad with GERD and my diabetes is way out of CONTROL. Is there anyone that could give me any advice as to how get start the process of getting a revision surgery I can't take this anymore.
