  3. Thanks for the support I'm not sure why. Sorry
  4. Well, its 4 days post op and I have to admit I had a pretty good experience with surgery. Not much pain other than gas discomfort and I went kinda crazy the second day in the hospital and couldn't get comfortable but on today I had a sort of emotional break down. Please see the attached link... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4wdgZUWbUg
  5. I pray he has a speedy recovery! Bypass done it was rough first few hours but increasingly better. Just getting Tylenol now so not as sleepy.
  6. No! It's going on 4 hours waiting soon... Crazy
  7. Okay the day is here. Report time was 6am. I was told at 7am that they would be coming to get me to take me to surgery in 30 minutes. It's now 8:33am. My best friend had to leave :-( he was going to go down with me to get anesthesia. I was patiently excited but now this is just increasing my anxiety... I almost want to go ask, hey remember me the one that was suppose to be in surgery already.
  8. . So how are you doing? Congrats! Thanks for the prayers... Mine are with you as well
  9. I'm having gastric bypass RNY
  10. Surgery in the morning! I have to be at the hospital at 6am. I'm so excited... Mom and sis in town and I got my best friend also supporting me... Trying get my last fluids in before midnight. Ready for this journey! I know it won't be easy but I absolutely believe it will be one of the best of my life....
  11. Yes. Well not all there are some starchy vegetables that are limited but we can only use salt and pepper to flavor. I haven't really been able to eat much... Also I noticed it's hard to get the protein shakes down now. Not nasty I'm just tired of them. If anybody said this was the "easy way" out they are just ignorant!
  12. Yes. I'm having surgery July 27. I too have felt sick. It's weird because I have missed meals before and my doctor actually has me on 2 protein shakes and one small meal. I've been nauseated, weak and irritable. It's worse during the day and it's hard to sleep at night. I'm nervous that after surgery I will hate protein shakes but I know this is the process I have to complete. Drinking water and decaffeinated tea helps. Hang in there
  13. Insurance approved, pre op completed, 12 days to surgery date. Hello, joined yesterday. My name is Sharee. I'm on my 7th day of liver shrink. Protein shake for breakfast, lunch and 3oz meat, veggie for dinner with small fruit snacks as in between meals. What the doctor ordered. I'm so hungry and it's weird because I went missing meals a good portion of my life. Has anyone else struggled during this time? It's like 12 days can't get her fast enough. I'm irritable and moody and at times weak but I refuse to not follow the diet. I want my liver to be as small as it needs to have no problems during surgery... Impatiently waiting...
