  2. @@Aliel84 Listerine is a good equivalent! I used it 2 times a day and it helped a ton, also I would hold really really cold water in my mouth until it turned warm then swallow. I ended up with thrush shortly after surgery. My mouth was so so hot all the time. It went a way but it was miserable. It caused me to not want to eat and to gag at the thought, nothing sounded good, or it would make me gag. There is a rx for thrush but for some reason my surgeon wouldn't give it to me.
  3. Im almost 3 months out and I just got my energy back in the last couple of weeks.. I started eating chicken thighs instead of white meat, its a little smoother going down since its not as dry.
  4. Im 2 months and 3 weeks out from RNY I got my burst of energy just about 1 week ago. so I guess you can say it was 2 and a half months out, I have been getting 13,000 steps in most days now and I feel like if I needed to I could do more!
  5. I am 5 weeks out today. I can totally relate. I still have hardly any energy to take a shower, fold laundry and cook for my family. I have hardly any cravings so it makes it hard to eat. I cant stomach protein shakes or powder's of any kind.. Im just now starting to get my fluids down a little better. If its not my head being foggy its my stomach feeling gross and to top it off I have Thrush so my mouth feels like a sauna all the time... I have cried, I have stressed, I just have to keep telling myself it will pass UGH!!! I take Zofran for nausea but the taste it horrible! They also have me on an a pill for gurd, but that makes me dizzy! What a rollercoaster! I am loosing weight but at this point I don't care I just want to feel normal again!! Hang in there friend. Im here for you! It is helpful to know someone is in the same shoes as you are!
  6. I would suggest at minim have someone there when you take a shower.
  7. My water intake lately has not been so hot, I hope to get back on track I no how important water is! Sometimes it hurts when it settles in my tummy, I think its possible I drink to big of a drink instead of sip...

  11. I'm 31 just started my journey, I had a consultation with the surgeon yesterday and started my 6 month diet today!
