  1. Today I received my approval from my insurance company (it took only 3 days to get my approval) and my surgery date is next Friday October 2, 2015. I am so excited. Is there anyone else out there with an upcoming surgery date? If so let's take this journey together. I will be sure to take before and after pictures along the way.

    8 days post op

    Surgery Oct 8

You'll do just fine. Just make sure you get up and walk every hour and every 3 hours during the night, walk for 5-10 minutes each time. This will help with the gas pains and if you shrug your should from front to back and back to front it will help with the should pain. Also make sure you take 10 deep breathes every hour

Time off work? One week? More?

I only took the day of surgery off. Which was this past Friday October.2 I returned to work on Monday. My sleeve recovery was great I did everything my doctor advices me to do. I walked for 10 minutes every hour from the time I got into my room.
  19. I didn't lose any weight during my pre-op. I was sleeved on Friday Oct. 2 and I have already lost 6lbs. I am still very bloated and still have some gas pains but nothing unbearable. I returned to work on Monday. I have a office jobs and were I am able to get up and walk every hour so it helps out a lot.
  20. I am two days post op from being sleeved and I am feeling great. Very little pain, the only pain that I experienced was chest pain do to having a hernia repaired in my stomach. Also I have small throat so they went to put the tract down my throat the first is was to big. So I end up losing my voice and it's finally coming back. I think with me following my doctors orders by getting up and walking every hour helped to a speedy recovery.
