  4. I'm almost done there was no wait for my surgery the surgeon and I decided to do the duodenum switch which is the most risky but will give me the better result. I only have to submit my blood work, a sleep study, a Pap smear, a mammogram, a letters from my PCP and Psychiatrist stating that were in agreement with the surgery which they were. I also had to purchase a book and attend a 3 hour class on life after surgery. I have OCD this became my obsession I'm just about done on every thing my gynecology apt is the 27 of the month which is the final piece of the puzzle which he will order my mammogram. The class for life after surgery is on the 14 of Sept. Which is normally a week before surgery

  10. I'm really getting mad (venting) I don't have sleep apnea yet my surgeon is requesting a sleep study. My PCP order it but because it's not on there request form or in there system they want to send my PCP this long questionnaire which my PCP feels that the surgeon should fill out which I totally agree my PCP is just doing the surgeon a favor by getting involved. This is a battle war and I want out????????????????????
  11. Well due to me having Medicare in Chicago with an BMI OF 60 I am only required blood work, a Pap smear, mammogram, a letter from my PCP and my Psychiatrist and a sleep study, along with a 3 hour prep class on what to expect after surgery and I will be done with my requirements. I have my blood work done on the 8/6 I have my pap scheduled on 8/26 I have contacted my Psychiatrist and my PCP for the letter and the sleep study I'm waiting on a call back. This is wonderful news I'm so excited

  13. Dr. Hussain is my surgeon as well. I actually work for U of C. But if you like I'm planning to attend the support group meeting here are the university. It every first Tuesday of the month. I have my first evaluation so I won't know if I'm able to enroll so fast. when is your first visit... that visit will be with your surgeon, nutritionist, psychiatrist, and his nurse... once they agree that your a suitable candidate you be put thur a series of test... depending on how fast you can get in and get those appointments will determine fast you can schedule surgery. I have one more test and I can schedule for the second week in September. Wow thanks I have an appointment with my PCP right behind my appointment on 8/3 with Dr
