  1. I started using the non permanent color. My hair loss was pretty bad. I went from having a chia pet for hair to covering bald patches. I have tried all the shampoos and vitamins. Finally decided to just let nature run its course. I was afraid of the permanent ones only because what hair is left is very frizzy and not healthy. I am 6 mths out and the last couple of weeks I have had little hair loss. Good luck. I think it's different with everyone.

    5 months post op

I am five months out and really struggle with foods to eat. My smell has been heightened since surgery so if I cook something, the smell will get to me. I eat all types of soup and have recently started trying different meats. Usually after a couple of bites I don't want it. What I don't need as much is what settles well on my stomach. So I still depend on protein shakes.
  3. You do have stalls. I have had times where I didn't loose then I would loose good. I also gained 7lbs one week. I did not do anything different I still don't know why but the next week I was loosing again. You have lost a good amount so far. Our bodies just react in ways we can't explain!
  4. What a difference! I know you feel so good! You look great.

I am 5 1/2 mths out and still do not want meat. I have to make myself try it. I am still using protein shakes since I just can't stomach meat.
  6. I had surgery on June 15th and was really sick the first 2 1/2 months from complications. I have lost fast up to this last month and it slowed down which is good. I lost too fast at first. But this week I gained seven pounds and its held all week. Is this normal?
  7. I am 53. I had the bypass June 15th. I feel so much better now than I have in 25 years.

    Gain 7lbs this week.

I have not been working out. I guess that's what I worry about. I have tried walking recently and half a mile is it. I know I can build this up. I am starting to get strength and less pain now. I have been slowly working on increasing my intake up to about 800 calories a day.

    hi everyone,

I had mine on June 15th. Had issues with the spleen. The bypass has healed good. I have lost 54lbs as of today! But I have been sick from the spleen.

    I'm a little concerned about...everything!

I noticed how much easier it was to walk or bend my legs up. Something i have not been able to do in years. All within the first month!
