Hi.  I'm Jackie.  
    I found BariatricPal when I did a search for apps on my Kindle Fire relating to bariatric surgery.
    I've been on diets all my life.  I've lost 35, 42, etc. but always gain it back plus.  At 52, with grown children, it's time to do this.  My first visit to Dr. Singh for consultation was on 5/28/2015.  When I expressed concern about malabsorption issues, he recommended the Sleeve.  That's the plan now.  I'm two months into Weight Watchers, but I am having difficulty being motivated.  I have a terrible problem with craving sweets, especially when I am bored, stressed, happy, sad.......  
    Dr. Singh has done the colonoscopy and I've had the nutritional consult. He requires a psych consult too.  After the 6th WW meeting in Nov 2015, I get my surgery date, which could could possibly be in December.  My husband and I will be going on a Caribbean trip in January 2016 with his job, so I'm not sure about scheduling surgery until after we return.  Dr. Singh says 3 weeks for recovery, but I'm hesitant. 
    I am looking forward to connecting with others who are in the same place, but I also enjoy the posts about other stages of the journey as well.
