December 2015 or January 2016 sleevers ?
I was going nowhere on Weight Watchers, again, for the supervised diet, so I met with the NUT at Dr. Singh's office and she was great. Gave me a 1600 cal diet with some meal plans as a guide. She told me not to weight myself, and I haven't, but my pans seem a little looser! I have my psych eval on 10/08, and will be done with the diet on 11/20. Then it's wait for the insurance approval. I am excited! Hoping to get a surgery date in early December! Going to MX with my husband in mid-January, so hoping there are no complications before then or, even worse, in MX!

December 2015 or January 2016 sleevers ?
@@NewStart 38. I agree with kathy2208. Your insurance won't use this weight loss against you. I asked my surgeon and he said, "feel free to lose weight." Your weight loss is a really good pre-op step for success in surgery. My surgeon recommend either Weight Watchers, having only to do once a month weigh-ins without missing a month or starting over, or the Smartphone app Fitness Pal and visiting my PCP. I'm doing Weight Watchers.

December 2015 or January 2016 sleevers ?
@@newstart38 I've read a couple theories. One, the insurance company wants to see weight loss so they know you will folllow the strict post-op diet, and the other was from a Bariatric Pal's entry, saying she was unable to lose weight in the pre-op diet and was still approved by her insurance company. My take on it is that the more you can lose prior to surgery, the better for the actual procedure (making room in there) and recovery (proper nutrition gets your body working better for healing). I'm trying, but struggling (as usual). My mind tells me I can't do it. Sometimes I feel motivated and do okay on a diet, but this time it's not happening.

December 2015 or January 2016 sleevers ?
Count me in. Hopefully, December. I'm struggling through the 6-month pre-open diet, on month 3. Laurel, MD. I'm only telling my husband, adult kids, and best friend. My sisters wouldn't get it.

6 month wait...
Hi Snapdragon05. I just joined the forum and also doing the 6-month diet until November. I'm going to Weight Watchers (again), and having a hard time staying motivated. I did the same thing with NutriSystem. That stuff is awful! Good luck.
