  1. I'm eating 500-600 - I was sleeved the 29th. How many are you eating? When I follow up w my NUT Wednesday - I'll get a specific plan- then share it w u.
  2. Omg I have the same pain. (I got it 4 days post op out of the blue). I have it still on day 8. Wonder what it is...
  3. Im with you. I am 8 days post op and was looking at home gyms today at dicks and sports authority. I just don't think I would keep up with the gym bc of work, kids, etc. I feel like I would be more compliant with a home gym. I just don't want to make a costly mistake.
  4. Hello! Thanks for asking! Well I'm 8 days post op. The first bit was miserable! But I'm feeling better. Walking, trying so hard to get my 64 oz in and all my protein - I'm close!! I have less pain when I swallow. But when I walk I have a pain way down low in my left lower quadrant of my "second" belly lol. Maybe I need a support I dunno. I am way better though. Go back to work on Monday. Lost 27 lbs from the preop week of liquids and this first week post op. Yay! 200 left lol
  5. Mine was 15-25 minutes. Self pay. Did a little mental exam like what's the date, how to spell something, who was the president. Then was sent home with a personality test 500 questions. And was done, not once asking me anything about over eating.
  6. Wow ! They didn't ask my anything about surgery or over eating ...
  7. 364, sleeved last Wednesday. No one suggested bypass. I'll let you know how it goes...
  8. They did a mini mental exam (way easier to read it on google then me explaining it). Didn't ask me anything personal. Done in 15 minutes.... Was everyone else's like this?
  9. I was sleeved the 29th too. The neck and other pains finally went away yesterday. I am left with pain when I sip and a million gurgles. And now tonight have pain in the left lower abdomen near my belly button - feels like a sharp burnt pain? What is that?!!! I can not get 64 oz of water in and barely 1 protein shake. So I am w ya.... I feel crappy!
  10. I had mine on Wednesday. I agree w you about the gas pains. And is it just me - it feels weird drinking like it hits something and then drops? And I have like a million belly noises and pains inside (not incisions). I am having a hard time w the liquids. Yesterday I got 20 oz water in and a 1/2 protein shake. I am trying to sip all day and walk. It's really hard. How are you doing w intake?
  11. I had surgery Wednesday. I feel nauseous off and on, have gas pains, pain in my chest when I swallow. I had diarrhea from the gastrograffin I had to swallow for the upper gi. It hurts to drink- I know I have to otherwise I'll be in the Er. Any advice?
  12. When I drink I can feel it go through something then have a sharp pain in my stomach with gas pain is that normal
  13. Had surgery yesterday. The nausea was terrible. The gas pains are terrible. But the incision pains are ok (so that is good) awaiting upper gi so I can go home...
  14. m Me too! Sitting waiting to go into or... Good luck!
  15. Tomorrow is my day too! Have to be there at 545 am for a 730 start. I'm nervous. I know it's the right thing to do because I can't lose weight and keep it off the "normal" way. And I'll just be in trouble later on if I don't do it - with my knees or my back or my heart or the list is endless. I am scared though. I have a little boy and want to be there for him when he's older. Wish all of you luck w your 7/29 surgeries. Please let me know how it goes !!!!
  16. Omg I hope you are ok! Best wishes!
  17. 1 more day to go!! So nervous!
  18. Good luck and let us know how it goes...
  19. I envy that you didn't have to do the liquid preop diet! Are you planning on any protein clear liquids? If so, let me know because I switch from full liquids to clear liquids on Tuesday (for surgery on Wednesday) and I'm struggling with what to "eat". I wish you luck for surgery and please let us know how it goes
  20. Wow that is great news. I'm getting so nervous. I'm doing it on Wednesday. The liquid diet is tuff! I pee constantly. And I'm hungry!!! Or am I head hungry ? I need to figure that out asap so I can be successful with my sleeve. Does it feel different like when you swallow? How bad was the pain?
  21. I'm nervous too!! I go the 29th as well. Today I had a stress test (omg big girl on a tread mill - only lasted 5 minutes before my heart rate was target at 180). Cardiologist just called- normal yay!! And insurance finally authorized me! Double yay! Now just drinking fluids until I pop!
  22. Yay 4 days to go! I also feel terrible and I'm only on day 2. I feel sloshy with liquids but still hungry. Ugh!
  23. Omg 21 days! That's a lot! I shouldn't be complaining with 7 really. It is tuff though. Obviously I have a problem w food and hunger or I wouldn't be here lol
  24. Omg 21 days! That's a lot! I shouldn't be complaining with 7 really. It is tuff though. Obviously I have a problem w food and hunger or I wouldn't be here lol
  25. Ok so my preop diet consists of full liquids for 1 week preop. But to keep the carbs below 40 a day. A can of Campbell's soup has like 25g carbs. So I have 3 protein shakes, a can of soup, a couple sf jellos, some broth, and a Greek yogurt. Done. I'm so hungry I good eat part of my arm. I felt like I was going to float away yesterday w all the liquids and I'm only on day 2. Soooo, wonder why there is such a difference in everyone's preop diet? I would have consumed less carbs and less calories eating different things- like greens and skinless chicken breast. I feel bad for the people that need to do it for 2 weeks. I envy the people that get to have hard boiled eggs, and greens, etc. This preop diet is hard. I know why I need to do it and will do it. It's just super hard.
