  1. I can count on one hand the number of times in my life I've been constipated. This is awful!! I started taking stool softeners and they are helping.
  2. I'm eight days po now and FINALLY starting to feel better. The pain is still there but it has definitely lessened.
  3. I was sleeved on the 27th and I can't believe how much pain I am in. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I thought this was going to be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong. I've been taking my pain meds regularly and still any movement makes me want to cry. My original plan was to go back to work on Monday. That's not happening.
  4. I have only told a few people so far. I want to wait until I get cardiac clearance and I know I am good to go before telling everyone else. The people I have told are extremely supportive. They are behind me 100%. If anybody has anything negative to say I will probably thank them politely for their concern and tell them it is my decision to make. Either that or I'll tell them to eff off.
  5. I am scheduled for January 27th. Tomorrow I have my EGD, Friday is pre-op clearance with my PCP and Saturday is my mammogram and chest X-Ray. Then my final nutrition class and the bariatric coordinator can put in for the auth. Hard to believe I start the liquid diet in less than a month! Time seems to have sped up! Lol
  6. My mother's best friend had bypass many many years ago. She never really lost as much weight as she needed to. I think that was mostly due to lack of exercise.
  7. Being able to walk down a plane aisle without having to turn to the side. Fitting through turnstiles.
  8. My surgeon requires all prospective patients attend a symposium. I did that last Wednesday. My insurance requires a six month diet with a nutritionist. My first appointment with her is Friday. Very nervous and excited to be starting this process!
