  1. Thanks. I am proud of myself for the first time in who knows how long. This is a life changing experience in more ways than just weight loss.
  2. I just got finished at my 3 month follow up appointment. I've lost 43% of my weight. Surgeon said that I'm doing great. Super excited!!!!!

  6. Google the 5 day pouch test. It helps to get you back on track. One oft girlfriends had bypass 10 years ago and gained 20+ I told her about this and it has helped her. Good luck you can get back on track.

  8. Gas x strips help You might be eating to fast if it is happening during eating. I'm still having trouble with that. Other times a burp can be a signal of being full.

  10. I was on ambien also taking up to double my dose and it still was not working. If you truly have insomnia issues talk to your doctor about switching to Restoril. I fall asleep within 10 minutes of taking. It has made a huge difference for me. The lack of sleep can have a big impact on your emotional and physical health.

  15. If getting out of the bed is hurting make sure you use a pillow to hold against your stomach.
  16. It will get better everyday. The first couple days are the worst. Stay on top of the pain medication. Good thoughts headed your way. Feel better soon. Also walk as much as you can. I know it don't seem like it will help but it does.

  18. As long as your on narcotics you shouldn't drive. I would plan on at least a week. Stock up on broths, yogurt, sugar free Popsicles, sugar free jello and puddings and eggs. Make sure you have your protein drinks to start on. Your nut should give you a list for your first weeks at home. Good luck to you.
  19. I'm two months out and still not allowed potatoes. I ate a lot of fat free refried beans after a couple weeks out.
  20. My pcp did have reservations about going back on the pill with absorption issues. That's why I went with the depo.
