  1. Not sure if this is the right place to post this. I had sleeve surgery through bariatricpal on June 26th. Have not gotten to talk to a nutritionalist because the last one left. I am 2 months out. I am eating 900-1100 calories per day. Logged in 100% of everything on fitness pal app. I am walking a minimum of 10,000 steps per day by going to the gym and walking, elliptical and a little weights. At least an hour every day. Eating 80-100 grams of protein. And I have only lost 30 pounds. Drinking lots of water. Haven't had soda since before surgery. Started at 241. What am I doing wrong? I know my food intake is much much less than before I had surgery. The scale hasn't budged in 3 weeks. While I am happy for the 30 pounds lost, I still have a long way to go and if I doing something wrong I want to fix it!
  2. My doctor was Dr. Jesus Lopez. He is going to come check on me this morning before I leave. I am hoping it is just a side effect of the barium, did not have it before I took it. I had the barium test on sunday, I would think it would have been out of my system by now. Especially with no food to slow it down
  3. Was hoping to see the dr. Before I leave Mexico in the morning, but doesn't look like that is going to happen. I am 4 days post op and am having loose almost black bowel movements several times a day the last couple of days. No stomach cramping. Had the barium test, it showed no leaks. Anyone think there is reason to worry?
  4. Made it to Mexico!! Still waiting to see the Doctor, but everyone has been very nice.
  5. I spoke with dr Jesus Lopez and will be meeting with him in the morning. Soooo excited!!

  8. Am so happy to hear about your experience!! I am having surgery on Friday with dr. Jesus Lopez. Am very excited and a little nervous, I have not had a lot of communication. Couple of questions if you have the energy . I am going down by myself. Did you feel safe? Am guessing I should bring some cash for things like broth and taxis etc. any ballpark estimate of how much I should bring? Have thought about bringing my iPad, but don't want to haul it everywhere, is there a way to keep it secure? Glad to hear about the food, have not really spoken with the nutritionalist as she is traveling, I am so glad to hear about your experience! I hope you have the greatest success!
  9. I'm with you Rocket. I am having surgery on Friday. The nutritionalist and I have only spoken briefly (less than 3 minutes, she was getting ready to travel) haven't heard from dr. Jesus Lopez. Did get a call today from someone confirming things are ready and to pay my additional $3400... Hoping it all goes smooth!!
  10. I will be seeing dr Lopez next week!! So excited! Glad you have good reviews of him Maggie409 ????
