I was not on a diet either before surgery. I think it would of been better to be on a diet the week of surgery. My liver was huge (I think because I did not do the liquid before surgery) During surgery it was punctured and I had 2 blood transfussions. so in hind site - I think diet before is important.. hope this helps!

I was banded on 12/19/08 have had 4 fills/ lost 30 pounds gained back 14 pounds.. band is not working correctly. even with 4 fills never been restricted. But it caught my attention when you said that about liquids I can not drink liquids either unless they are hot .. every other liquid I throw them up.. any suggestions?? also i have lost 60% of my hair in the last 8 weeks..

does anyone know how may fills insurance companies will pay for..Is it every month, every six weeks? I feel bad going back to my dr. after the first fill and him saying I havent lost anything...but i do want to get that second fill...

I was banded on 12-19 first fill on 1-21........ I just got enough nerve to schedule my second fill for 2-19....I hate needles and it wasnt the most pleasent experience but in time I think it will get easier.. I use to hate going to the dentist , that nervous feeling- now I have that with my fill visit.....however it only last 5 minutes then it's over and more weight loss will come.. The bright side :frown: Good Luck

Thats Weird about the fluid.... We were banded the same day.. How have you did , besides the fluid build-up?

I tried the egg and cheese part of an egg mcmuffin...It got stuck and it would not move..I tried pineapple juice but nothing would get pass it.. so up it came.. Lesson learned also.. chew chew and then chew somemore... :smile:

Great feeling I bet.....I get my first feel on Monday the 21st......I look forward to it..(But did it hurt?) You've done great ..33 in 6 weeks ? WoW keep up the good work and you'll be ready for the bikini this summer :smile:

Mine is actually a big square on the side and it does stick out.. you can see it and feel it when I walk, or lay flat on my back..

I was banded on the 19th and I can still really feel my port.. Its almost uncomfotable..How does yours feel?? My first fill is Jan 21st.. Cant wait.. Hope it makes me feel more restricted also..

Try Egg-Drop soup..thats the only way I made it 2 weeks on mostly liquids :confused: I was banded on the 19th of Dec.

Hang in there I felt the same way I was banded on 12/19 feeling better everyday but still not perfect.. I am glad I did it but had a week or so of regrets
