After 6 months of all the insurance hoop jumping I finally got to meet with my surgeon today. I went in with the thought of having the Sleeve done but, after talking with him he thinks having the bypass would be Best. Do to the heartburn I suffer from. Either way I'm excited and can't wait for this new chapter in my life to begin. My surgary date is August 4th????

I also got my approval phone call yesterday Congratulations!!!! ???????????? I totally get how beyond excited you are I wanted to jump and scream and do a happy dance but got the call while at work lol. I'm also from Tennessee which hospital are going to have yours at if you don't mind me asking?

I got the call today 6/17/15 that I was approved im so beyond excited I have been wanting this for many years. O the butterflies just arrived in my stomach. Now to wait till July 7th for an appointment with the surgeon and find out my surgary date!!!!

I have in Tn crossing finger for approval using as a secondary with Cigna paperwork submitted Monday 6/8/15????

I finished my last 6 month appointment Friday June 5, 2015 my paper work was submitted Monday June 8, 2015. 32y 5'3 @ 247lbs I'm wondering if anyone who has Cigna TN could tell me how long it took them to get an approval back and how long did it take to get a date after meeting with surgeon? (I can't have appointment with him until after approval.) what are some of the thing you have to do after meet with the surgeon before surgary Also if you have Amarichoice (tenncare) as a secondary did they approve?

@ I haven't even had an appointment with the surgeon yet they said can't until it's approved crossing fingers I don't get denied. Good luck to you ????
