  1. I like Premier too. I've tried chocolate and strawberry- both are good but I don't like the strawberry anymore after surgery. But the chocolate tastes like a Yahoo chocolate drink! Not bad at all!
  2. Give it a few days... Your esophagus and stomach is still swollen... It will get easier to swallow! Hang in there:)
  3. PLEASE tell me I am not the only one who literally gets sad to the point of tears over not having food. I was sleeved 6/3 so am 8 days post op and the past couple days were hard, as to see why my body is healing nicely and I'm not worried about that, I'm worried about not having food. I am in full liquids but so ready for some density or flavor to eat. When I see people eat or food around it makes me sad almost to the point of tears! Your mind is such as strong influence I never realized how much head hunger I have. Oh & food commercials on tv used to be nothing.. Now I'm practically drooling over anything that pops up on tv edible. Yall am I alone?
  4. Bless your heart... The pain does get better!! Just hang in there a couple more days. You've got this ????
  5. . My surgery was June 3 too, so I'm 8 days post op and I'm down 15 lbs! I've had no pain since day 3 and Water is going down easily. ????????????????????????
  6. No! I am 8 days post op and can drink really fast too! My NUT told me that liquid empties out of your stomach in 2-3 seconds so you will be able to drink more. ????????
  7. The first five days after surgery I slept sitting up, I felt it strained my muscles too much to lay down and hurt extremely worse to try to get up without help. After then I was able to lay down on the couch & use the cushions as support to get up. I'm 8 days post op and haven't had any pain for 2 days! Just hang in there... We all feel your pain!
  8. I am one week post op today! I've felt the exact same everyday except today... Here's what I did differently yesterday- got in a little extra protein, drank a little extra water, and ate some of my Mimi's potato soup broth.. I think the extra calories helped!
  9. Mine itch too, that's just our bodies way of growing healthy skin to heal them. Try putting the blow dryer on them for a few seconds on low! Feels good
  10. I was sleeved last Wednesday. So I am 6 days post op with no pain! But I've also followed all the direction of walking and it helps. The first three days are the worse! Then you will be able to feel your incisions each day getting better! I took pain medicine once after I got home on day two and was good after that. Just hang in there
  11. I'm a week out, full liquids
  12. I am a week post op and have found when I feel weak I need to drink water! Or eating Greek yogurt and chicken noodle soup (strain the pieces) will help too!
  13. Does anyone have any tips to getting all my protein in daily? I'm easily getting all my liquids in, except I'm not really tolerating protein drinks (they make me feel yucky). I'm eating Oikos Greek Triple Zero which is 15g of protein in one cup, but am looking for more options, anyone tried powdered milk as a source of protein? Any ideas?
  14. I am a kindergarten teacher, had my sleeve 6 days ago, Although I am in no pain, I get very tired easily. I would def say wait until Christmas break or summer break to have it (I know, more waiting) but you'll be glad you have several weeks just to rest... Your body will need it!
  15. I am in Muscle Shoals. Had my sleeve done 6/3/15 (last week) in Huntsville with Dr. mailapur. He is great and I am doing just fine!
