  1. Tremendous respect, here !!!
  2. Man....talk about getting back into the fight....heck yes. That's gonna get you into seriously good shape. I don't have a clue how long to wait, but I'd be very careful and make sure I was fully healed. I'd run this by your surgeon for sure.
  3. It may be a bit rich for pureed stage...not sure. I chose to skip the puree stage and just stick with the Protein shakes made with Water. They were agreeable to me and the rate of loss was addicting...I didn't want to screw around with anything that would change that. Sorry....just goofing around. There is a family recipe....my sister has it and isn't giving it up. I just found one on the internet and messed around with a couple different versions. I add 10-12 shakes of Tobasco sauce to it. Blue Plate or Duke's are the only brands of mayo I use. The screenshot didn't get all the recipe....there should be a 4oz jar of diced pimentos (drained) added as well.
  4. I am having my surgery in May and I had realized that this is the last holidays I will be able to eat like this. So I ate alot of sweet potatoes my favorite and still because of paying more attention to Protein I actually lost a lb. New Years was different because of my love of egg nog and nutmeg. I knew the eggnog would hurt me but I have kinda been making my funeral arrangements one food item at a time. I am so glad the holidays are over for now but I will be interested in seeing how much my eating will change after surgery, this should be interesting! Sent from my 0PM92 using the BariatricPal App Nothing stopping you from changing your eating now. The goal is to lose weight.....start now....no need to wait around for the surgery to do so. The surgery is not magic. You will still be able to eat sweet potatoes and drink egg nog and have a bunch of other junk food post op if you choose to do so. It's never to early to put good practices into place.
  5. I'm 14 months past surgery and still can't stand that full feeling.
  6. Somewhere around the 8th week everything fell into place for me. The sleeve has been awesome ever since.
  7. Absolutely amazing. You are living the dream and are very inspiring.
  8. The food is not going anywhere. No need for funerals. The surgery is not magic, either. If you don't change your thinking then you'll struggle with weight forever....post op as well. Now is the time to be getting your mind wrapped around a new lifestyle...not being concerned over specific foods. If you don't fix your thinking then the surgery is simply a colossal waste of time and money.
  9. I would.....but it's closely guarded....... LMAO.......I've seen yer pics, too. Agreed.
  10. I would, but........it's been a closely guarded family secret for the longest.......
  11. I approached it thusly........anything that I didn't want to have in my daily eats......I didn't want to include during the early stages, either. Therefore......NO......skip on that crap. Embrace the early stages and lose all the weight you can......then hang on and enjoy the results as you refine your strategy for later on.
  12. It's great on celery........and at the point I'm at.....it's great on whole grain, high Protein, wheat bread. I can't explain........other than to say it's been a staple on the dinner table since I was knee high to a grasshopper.
  13. Hilarious. Good times and good riddance. Keep on kicking ass, bro.
  14. cheese......love it. I made a batch of kickin' pimento cheese a few days ago and have been enjoying it immensely.
  15. It's never been an issue that I've faced. If its gone cold then I've been eating too long.
  16. Funny stuff.....and a true issue. Last appointment I had was the one year check up. I was wearing jeans, boots and jacket. scale time came.....I had them wait a second as I jettisoned jacket and everything in my pockets...keys, wallet, pocketknife and etc. I considered taking off the boots, too but knew enough was enough.
  17. Congrats to another Georgia sleever.
  18. I would go somewhere that has a light Soup. A Chinese restaurant would be my choice.
  19. There isn't anything that comes to mind that I can't have. I do have aversion to certain foods, though. Since surgery I no longer care to eat rice of any kind (except in sushi), cottage cheese and Jello. I simply find them to be unappealing. Weird, I know.
  20. Living in a 200 year old farmhouse.....on a farm.....with your own shooting range. Boss, I'm envious. Great stories, too.
  21. Good stuff.....that caffeinated coffee Protein. I've been rocking the Chike version and loving it. Having some for Breakfast this morning, in fact.
  22. I would do everything in my power to ensure there was zero chance for food particles to be in my digestive system when I arrived for surgery.
  23. Chinese Soups are great Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
