This sure feels weird
Comfort fit was how I rolled, too.........back in the days where I wore a ring. It has been going on for a while, and I suspect it will get worse. Probably the worst was the woman at the McDonald's drive through. Mrs. LittleBill and our youngest daughter were in the truck with me that day. I had had a couple of previous encounters with this woman. Anyway, I put our order in, and she started moaning right there over the speaker system. When we pulled around to the window, she was literally hanging out the window with her hand on my arm, moaning. Mrs. LittleBill was sitting there with a WTF look on her face. Our daughter was in the back seat saying "Eww eww eww!" I don't think a ring would have made a difference. I had to stop going there. Of course, it is moot now. Dang, bro. A happy meal was forthcoming there, indeed. Funny times. It's gonna be a wild ride, sir.....a potentially wild ride.

Airport Security Curiosity
I have metal in my left knee and right ankle.....never been much of a problem. The last time I flew was six months after my sleeve surgery. The security folks were balking at my drivers license picture for sure. It was comical....until I realized they were seriously doubting me. Happened again the next month with Customs agents. This reminds me that I need to get an updated passport.

Does it get better?
Of course it gets better. You had surgery on your stomach a week ago. You have to be patient and let it heal.

Regrets after surgery?
I wish I could go back in time, too. I would like to do so so I could have had surgery much sooner in life. Everything gets much better after the first couple of months.

6 Month Diet before the surgery prep diet
What's cool is that the post op diet has also been fairly consistent with the Atkins diet. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Help! Does anyone have excessive burping?
I almost never burp anymore since being post-op.

6 Month Diet before the surgery prep diet
I did Atkins for two months and then the 14 day liquid diet leading up to surgery. Lost 55 lbs. It was really easy to stick with knowing that it was leading me up to surgery.

1st meal 23days post opp
Pasta, rice and fried stuff would be tossed in the trash were that my plate a month out. Maybe a few shrimp. Be careful with the alcohol this close out. Let your new stomach heal. There will be plenty of time for fun stuff like that in a while after you've completely healed.

Bullet Proof Coffee
I've heard the term bullet proof coffee but not really sure what it is. Sounds like something I need to brush up on.

Working and Eating
I keep a few packs of flavored tuna & salmon in my desk drawer. Quest bars are rush meals, too. I can pretty much go to any restaurant on the planet and find something that is in accord with how I want to eat now. Most fast food places have grilled chicken salads that hit the spot nicely.

Veggetti anyone.....
I use mine all of the time. I don't freeze zucchini or any squash, as I find it is too watery when you thaw it. I also think it changes the flavor slightly. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Agreed. Freezing it sucks. Fresh is the key.....at least in my opinion. I have yet to add one of those handy contraptions to my kit. I do, however, on occasion slice up some zukes or squash into long & thin pieces, nuked or sautéed and can be twirled on a fork just like a noodle. They take sauces well. Takes a bit of knife work....but for me that is therapeutic......tunes in the kitchen and slicing away at the board.

Body image and sex
I may be damn near geriatric.......and sure as hell bariatric.......but it won't stop me from trying some epic maneuvers. Arthritis can wait it's time. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Food didn't agree with me
Don't feel bad. You are among friends. food didn't agree with me, either. That's how I got to 470+ lbs, lol. Food was feeling violated whenever I came within reach. Damage was done. Now....I'm grateful that certain foods have a way of making me feel their wrath. Sugary and starchy foods especially....leave me feeling like crud. I"m grateful for it 'cause I sure as hell don't want to go back to the old ways.
