  4. I was sleeved June 10th and today I see my surgeon to remove my staples!... I have been on liquids but a few days ago was the first time hunger hit me and man was it rough. It was a mental struggle, followed by a few days of me feeling out of sorts! And slight freaking out when reality hits that this is how it is from here on out! Im hoping my Dr. tells me I can start pueed foods and I begin to feel better soon!????
  5. awe feel better! yeah its a fat girls roller coaster ride!! cant wait to get off!
  6. @@Rebecca5222 I have to laugh cause I totaly secretly despise my boyfriend and my kids cause the can eat lol and im stuck trying to sip 64oz of dang water lol omg I have had evil thoughts haha. I have been reading alot about what we are going through right now and if we didnt feel like we do then we would not be normal I suppose it a good thing that we have eachother to support one another and share such a person journey. I am going in today to get my staples removed. Yeah at least I can begin to feel somewhat normal. Awesome that we have same dates and can share with eachother! Talk to you soon ladies????
  7. I feel ya zonetracy its kinda crazy all the preop jitters and anticiaption seems to have now shifted to post op OMG Im sleeved and I cant undo this and Im hungry and I want take a full bite and savor my foods but oh wait It hurts to swallow!!...I know its a transition that is gonna take some getting used to and definately a mental thing!! Thanks for the reply
  8. Thank You so much ShrinkingPeach!!! Yes I have had a very difficult time after surgery just keeping hydrated. I have felt like a newborn at times cause I literally have had to ask my kids to burp me lol! I am having issues with passing gas and burping! I know TMI!! yet these are real issues I am dealing with post op! It truely is a complete rebirth that is a slow learning process! Thanks again for the feed back!
  9. Hello eveyone on this side of our journey! Well its been eight days since I was sleeved and its the first time I have felt true hunger since my surgery! I am still on a liquid diet but have not been able to tolerate very much besides shakes broth wat er and popsicles! So today I woke up super hungry my stomach was growling so I made myself some oatmeal that I had left over from my preop diet I was barely able to get in about four teaspoons full and i felt some pain and discomfort after words so I decided not to try anything else. When will I be able to eat again without pain?
  10. I am 4 days post op and I have not really had any headaches, we're you a previous tea, coffee or soda drinker? I have been told sometimes you can get a withdrawal headache from that. Also, we are kind of in starvation mode after surgery just taking in liquids. I had my surgery on the 10th also everything is fine except I cant seem to get 64oz of fluids down for the life of me Its too much then I feel bloated and my belly aches...and forget about food not happening just yet! I hope this part of the transition and that it will pass. In any case best of luck to all????
  11. My VGS surgery went pretty good... I was afraid my surgeon would not sleeve me because I cheated several times on my liquid preop diet. Anyways so June 10th was my surgery and as stated above it went pretty smoothly. Now Im going on three full days post op and I have no appetite and its so hard to get all my fluids in. I guess once I heal better things will change but does anyone have an oppinion as to which is more important getting your fluids in or protiens?? I just litterally have no desire for food at all!
  12. [quote name="LynRey70" I must have been real dopped up when I did this post!
  13. Thank you @@Loonachick its great to hear from those who have been there....I am having a difficult time with water ever thing else tastes to sweet and I can pass it. Right now Im in pain cause my insurance would not cover my liqiud hyrdocodone and I cant hardly sleep Ive been pacing hopeing the pain goes away its a combo or gas and pain from the incisions I suppose. I sure do hope I can get better in a few days!
  14. Thank you Ladies awe yes it feels great to be home. But its a little diffrent when you dont have a nurse coming in to remind you to drink your water.. . I cant pallate anything. Not even popsicles! For me right now it is hard to keep hydrated! I can sip down 64 oz of water its super hard I tried a little tea which is a little better cause it was warm but still it produces so much belching and thats all that gas you have to pass! I am praying it will get better day by day! On another note my pain med that the dr perscribed where not covered by my insurance so now I got to come up with $156.00 and I have already paid for so much stuff I didnt realize I would need....We will see tomorrow if I can ask someone to loan me the cash for my meds. Anyway good luck to all of you. You all will do great Im sure of it!!! Thanks for all the well wishes !
  15. I can honestly say it wasnt as bad as I thought. Surgery went smooth. I have had some moderate discomfort. But overall not too bad experience... Hardest part was taking initial sips of water! You have to walk walk walk walk walk, it helps expell the gases that were pupmed into your body durring surery! Drinking is a big challenge for me and I cant think of eating nothing! My surgical team was amazing, Dr Richard Nguyen is a very skilled surgeon and very dedicated to his patients. Good Samaritan hospitol staff was super caring and supportive through my entire stage! Now Im home wishing I was back for a little extra TLC!!!
  16. so very Crystal Leigh! The hard part is over! Im pretty high on meds so i wii let you all know how it went later
  17. Im sleeved!! All went very well. Im not in temible pain....just still HiGH on pain meds detales to com????

  21. Omg ladies you make me want to cry and I totaly agree with you guys that our journey is private and on a need to know basis! Im not podting my surgery on facebook because honesty the people that matter are in my personal circle already and they know. Everyone else will feel the need to scrutinize my every move and I dont need to be put on display... unlike here on this site Im excited and happy to share some of my personal story with total strangers because even though the details vary we all have the same common struggle and have suffered the cruelty of the world and can relate to one another on a very personal level....thanks for sharing!
