May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!
Thanks for that. I know the feeling. We have a morning tea every Friday consisting of pies and other pastries. I have stayed away as it easier than confronting some of my favorite things!

May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!
I had my first work dinner since surgery last night and it was hard. Only two people know I had surgery. I said no to canapés, champagne and wine. Ihad salmon and the fish and had to leave most of it. Everybody thought I was sick! I did have a chocolate dipped strawberry so all in all I am quite pleased with myself. I do have a headache this morning due to not drinking water but at least it is not a hangover!

May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!
Doing really well. On normal foods. Down from 205 starting to 187. Very happy with that! So glad I did this. A girl at work said I looked like a stick yesterday. I wouldn't go that far but I'll take the compliment!

May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!
I hit the stall too, but before I knew it, it was over! It'll come and go quickly, though I'm sure we'll all have tons of other stalls too. I read somewhere on this site (I think it was a Do's and Don'ts section) to never say "only lost xx pounds" because it's negative thinking. Sixteen pounds from your body is gone for good! Celebrate every pound gone and keep working to make sure it doesn't come back. How did the gym go? I haven't gone back yet but will be asking my surgeon about it today. I still have some abdominal pain so I'm a little worried. the gym went well. The surgeon that I used has a gym at his surgery so I joined that. The trainers are trained with WLS people in mind. A bit sore today though!

Four weeks have gone by so fast. Am now on normal foods, but not pushing it too much. Had my first session at the gym this morning

That is amazing. Congrats!

Does anyone else have this problem?
I drink water with lemon juice/slices. It seems to make the water less dense

Surgery at 56?
Hi I am 51 and had my sleeve surgery 3 weeks ago. Best thing ever. My children have both left home and this is my time now! 50 is the new 30 don't you know!

Thanks for your replies. I feel as if I have turned a corner an am now just really tired! 10 hours sleep a night seems to be helping.

Spouse involvement
My husband has been fantastic. He has looked after me and as he is a chef has taken it upon himself to jazz up my puree which has helped get it down

May 26th Sleevers - 2 week check-in!
Hi I had my sleeve 26/5. We must do things differently on the other side of the world as I can start on minced fod tomorrow. Thank goodness. Hardest thing for me has been tiredness as I know that I am not getting enough calories in. I never thought I would be saying that!

So tired
Thanks for that. Nice to know I am normal. Luckily I sit all day at work so once I am here I can relax!

Help. I am two weeks out from sleeve surgery and absolutely exhausted. Have been back at work for a week and could barely lift my arns this morning to brush my hair! I am at t puree food stage and feel as if I am getting enough food although not hungry at all. Is this normal?

Just sleeved
Hi everybody My name is Liz Cantlon and I had my surgery 26/5, just six days ago. So far so good. I am a New Zealander living in Australia and am 51. My BMI was 36 pre surgery. I am so excited about the new life I have ahead. I have enjoyed reading all the information available here.
