Kaiser patients - what to expect
I am a Kaiser patient too so I'll give you my info... Started the process by getting the referral beginning of April then you go to a 4hr class and get a binder. After that you meet with the surgeon and you get your goal weight established after you reach this you have to go to a nutrition class 2hr. I reached my goal weight so they scheduled my psych evaluation 2 weeks after that.June 30th for me. Then I take a prep class and get my date. I am thinking...July... What they don't tell you is each appointment they make you wait at least 2 weeks:( that's what sucks!

Kaiser NorCal - Sacramento
I am just starting my process through Kaiser South too. I went to my orientation class 2 weeks ago and today I have my appointment with my surgeon. So so far it's been a pretty fast process. I am trying really hard to stick to my 1200 calorie diet so from my scale and my highest weight I 250 I am down to 243! Really hoping since I have done my research and I am ready to do the VSG this process is not 6 months from now. My book has a lot of steps to go through ie nutrition class, psych eval, support groups, nurse visits etc... Can someone tell me how long there process is going from now to getting a surgery date?

Just starting process
I day I have my appointment with the surgeon. I am excited and nervous on how much weight I am going to be required to loose before they give me a surgery date. I am hoping this process is faster then what I have been seeing on here 6 months.
